If you got back to normal in two days after that, you definitely have a killer metabolism. Lol @ the getting rolled though.

Same. Though I wish it had been more exciting and less sucky.

One time as a kid I spent my whole birthday in a car, another time my brother threw a massive, raging fit while I was having the cake...

Last year a friend of mine got so drunk we had to call an ambulance, and this year I'm posting on an internet forum and listening to A Horse With No Name on loop.

Birthdays kind of go downhill after you turn like 15.

Not really, I mean if you think about it, middle-class western birthdays for kids are pretty horrific, costly exercises in unbound self-centrism and jealousy.

I stopped having birthday parties after I was 12.

If I would share here what happened at my birthday one month ago, I would get banned.

On the other hand, my birthday parties have improved since I turned 18 and can legally drink. Not that I've really had a party since I turned 21. I prefer cooking dinner for family and friends (and getting horrendously drunk at the same time).

I do miss the birthday parties of my youth, though, that always had the pin the tail on the donkey or the pinata games. And the little gift bags full of lollies. Much simpler times.

Most of my birthdays are the same as any other day. Except that I get a cake and ice cream on those days, maybe a pair of pants or some socks or maybe even a 20 if I'm lucky. Not like I've expected anymore than that, but an extra 20 would be nice. I usually don't like getting gifts because it tends to be random stuff that I don't want. Hate surprises, surprise parties especially so.

Do you know why people still speak about Pinochet? Pinochet didn't around, he literally got together with military leaders in Chile and decided he was going to kill thousands of Socialists, Communists and everybody else whom he considered a social parasite or otherwise a threat to his control. He wasn't Adolf Hitler inconspicuously invading Poland and putting Jews into camps, he wasn't Stalin killing millions of people while still being hailed as a hero by people across the globe and he sure as wasn't Mao acting like his sole obsession was bringing equality to a horribly broken nation but quite obviously doing all of this for his own ego and aided by the incompetence of everyone around him. No, with Pinochet it was different, no whatsoever, he did it and everyone knew and got away with it and there were somehow absolutely no consequences for anyone. In full view of everyone he did this and was worshiped for it, people whom he could have easily killed the day after, and not once was he punished for it. Take this as a life lesson if anything. The world is not inherently rational.

Honestly I dont understand that part, I have almost never been able to drink in the next morning, you usually wake up still tired and your own breath smelling bad, its impossible for me to get alcohol close to my mouth again for the next 7-8 hours at least and I feel like I have to eat something before I starve.
