Sure mate, if you're nearby and I'm at home I could meet you in Maastricht or Liege. Maastricht being the better option as it's closer to me, I know the city quite well and Eben Emael is just south of it, there's also a large American WWII cemetary not far from Maastricht in Margraten and both the city and surroundings are lovely.

This is my 1000th post, therefore you must heed what I say. Go to Kazakhstan and visit the Tinshein Swimming Pool.
It's length thirty metre, and width six metre.
Filtration system a marvel to behold, it removes 80 percent of human solid waste.

Kazakhstan number one exporter of potassium!
    Other countries have inferior potassium.

In other news, I'm planning on taking a one week trip to Europe, just don't know where. Narrowed it down to cities where I can travel to for less than $500: Bristol, Brussels, Cork, Dublin, Edinburgh, Reykjavik, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Paris. I need help choosing (looking to see historical military sites, and eat and sleep inexpensively). Also, I'm planning on traveling outside the city I land in. Any ideas fellow Devians?
Ah man, although it would cost you a bit more to travel to cities like Dresden or East Germany in general, it's so much cheaper to stay there. But if I'd had to pick out of those cities, I'd pick Brussels.

By the way I was in Salem, Oregon the other day (for a conference). Aren't you from Oregon? It was a beautiful state.

Nah man, born and raised in the great city of Pittsburgh, PA. A lovely city if I do say so myself (and I do!). Never been to Oregon.
As for traveling to Germany, don't worry, all in due time. I plan on going everywhere in Europe. This trip will eliminate Belgium from the list.

Rabbit probably tastes disgusting. Who eats rodents anyway?

The best rabbit I ever had was when in college I went to a Cajun's friends home and her mother cooked the juiciest and most tasty rabbit ever.

Funny story about rats. I was in Africa in the Peace Corps. In the beginning, we are all together as we learn rudimentary language and customs of the host country. In this case it was Cote d'Ivoire. Anyway, they would feed us local meals. There was one particular dish I enjoyed eating. Another volunteer noticed and said he would try it, but couldn't get pass what it was. Confused, I asked what did he mean. He was, ""you know that is bushrat, right?" Confused, I said, "what." He responded, "what did you think it was." I was not really certain anymore, so, I said "beef." He said, "do you see cows anywhere around here?" I laughed. I said, "I am glad I know now, because it taste pretty good." I kept eating it. I probably wouldn't had tried if I knew before hand. The same thing happened when I tried cow's tongue and chicken heart. I was too busy talking to noticed I ate my wife's chicken heart.
