perspective indeed
That must be a common perception, but, as an old timer myself, I would like to present another way of looking at it. When you are gaming, you are doing something that is fun, relaxing, and in most cases something that stimulates your intellect and nervous system. And you get to socialize in a place like this, talking about your hobby. In my parents generation many intensely despise a forty-something guy who "wastes his time" playing games, while they themselves sit hours each evening in front of some completely braindead TV show and mummify in the process. I would much rather get my relaxation running an empire and planning campaigns and economy, discovering new wondrous places that only few movies can offer, or getting my pulse up running away from zombies while trying to come up with a plan to save myself.
As for constructive, we kind of should do some constructive things. But life does not have to be eight hours a day of being constructive at work, then another eight hours of the same at home until we fall in our beds, hoping that the sleep and our dreams will be constructive. None of that stressing about every waking hour of yours will buy you immortality. If you are doing enough constructive stuff to earn a living, just take it easy and enjoy your life. Live a little.
Edit: I forgot my initial point. If you are aware of your time running out, just choose your games more carefully. Don't spend it on games that do not respect your time but make you waste it on purpose.

Constructive is a construct.
To Each, His Own.
Time enjoyed is never time wasted.

I guess you can look at anything and say something like that is true... from a certain point of view...
Why aren't we talking about Flinn's birthday speech?
That's highly suspicious right?? I have never seen or heard of birthday speech by humans.
Does bilbo's count?
