I thought Diamat would reply to this with something about Avians' innate sense of justice leading them to freely choose their master and pledge their loyalty only on condition of fair treatment. Clearly if this is the case then it would appear that the bird's previous owner warrants scant sympathy.

We do not pledge loyalty to any human. Humans pledge themselves to us. Once they do, we impress upon them the Truth. That's why the Holy Spirit is a bird. He descended on Jesus during his baptism in the river Jordan.

Heh I have always suspected your avatar is a blood crying bird, Jesus reborn in a bird? Have you considered to make an animated one and sell it as the new symbol of Christianity?

might look terrifying though, like the Jesus bleeding on cross, it always feels like the opening of some horror movie.

And besides, it is already a basic symbol of Christianity.

I supposed it should be refreshing..... I have never seen such love of faith expressed and disdain for belief express, all along maintaining civility and politeness about it before. (please note the play with hyperbole)

that bowel is to catch the bird when it falls, turn it into sashimi and then you'd mix it with rice and soy sauce...?

No. It contains the blood of Christ, which is the same thing as the Holy Juices of the Divine Melon. Upon consuming it, an Avian will spiritually enter your body and guide you toward righteousness.

    Maybe I can remedy this....
When I was in the Peace Corps in Africa, they had a large group of us gathered together in a village staying at our respective host families homes. Interesting note, we spent the first week at a convent before being introduced to our host families. Anyway, we would all meet together for lunch. I particularly like one dish. One day I am eating and a fellow volunteer said to me, yeah, I would try that too, but I cannot get past the fact it is a Bush rat." Shocked, I said, huh, "this is a rat?" He laughingly said, "what did you think it was?" I shrugged and said, beef. He laughed again, and said, "Do you see any cattle around here?" I laughed this time and said, well, "I thought they were on my plate." In was good. I would probably never try it. Later, in China,Ii would eat intestine and chicken heart. I didn't know until after I ate it.

Bush rat, it's what's for dinner!

Bush rat, why not...it's not the urban, garbage eating, disease ridden rat that we know from cities. So I wouldn't mind a bush rat on the plate.

And...I eat real sausages too. So intestines or heart are not something squicky to me.

I've had haggis, it's not too bad. It's not the first thing on a menu I'd order, but if you're in Scotland you should try it once

Is it like French blood pudding? That looked disgusting but taste was fine

Chicken heart, among other hearts, is amazing. It's a travesty that in plenty of countries it is eaten exclusively in giblets or nuggets rather than savoured as a delicacy.

Haggis is good, I enjoy organ meats. Shame it's wasted so much.

King Athelstan is running the 100th non-Total War picture competition atm if anyone's interested in submitting a picture. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...00-Submissions

I play it so safe with meat. I barely trust myself to cook chicken properly, I'm paranoid I'll give myself salmonella poisoning or something. What are your guys' thoughts on raw goat testicles though?
