I'm paying for gym membership, which I could technically go to, but haven't due to fear of catching/spreading covid.

I have quite a lot of gym stuff in the garage now but don't use it as much as I should - 'going to the garage', doesn't have quite the same appeal as going to the gym did.

I'm paying as well even though not going. Makes no sense. Luckily many of us in Finland get a small part of our salary as a tax-free allowance earmarked for services promoting health.

Thank you for including "spreading" in that. I appreciate you being aware of the fact that you might be a symptom-free carrier.

I've only gained about 2kg, unfortunately, from shape-related issues I think I might have lost about 6kg of muscle and moved it to my mid-section

I do bodyweight workouts at home. Only equipement I got was a pullup bar, because that is irreplaceable.
I actually find this much easier to pull off than going to the gym, as the inhibition threshold is lower: It's less of an action to roll out your exercise/yoga mat and start doing exercises in the living room than it is to physically move to a gym first, especially when it's raining. I've actually managed to lose some weight during the pandemic that way.
