A year, but I have no doubt that ones may be up ahead. A couple of old friends died tragically at young age, third one badly ill, and the lockdown has taken a toll physically and mentally. At least I've got a super nice workplace with the nicest of peers and managers and our business is good unlike many others' these days. So I shouldn't be complaining.

Do you actually have to do home schooling in the sense of teaching your kids yourself? Or do you refer to the kind of thing that we have here in which kids attend classes by remote meetings?

I apologize for having smiled at that for a brief moment. You made it sound like that is a single chain of events with the mixer and the cats, and that sounded humorous in a tragicomic way to my dark sense of humor. I am not smiling anymore, and I sure wish you a much better 2021.

Brother AqD (pronounced "a cutie") is not exaggerating. It is really getting dark at that time, and the sun does not rise until after 9 am. So many of us spend the few hours of daylight locked up in offices with artificial lighting, but both go to work in the morning and return home in complete darkness.

You are just like the monster then. I heard that he is afraid to look under his bed, because Chuck Norris might be hiding down there.

I didn't know that there even were Cobol developers anymore, so it makes sense. I feel bad about that and your relationship, but hearing about your studies and getting a new job is really an inspiration! Good job, man. And the best of fortune with your new employment!

Oh, but that is so cool. Makes sense for someone who does modding. Developer work seems to me like something way too advanced, given that I only assess business needs of companies and make software customization on top of platforms prepared by developers. But I am a people person, and just love getting to know actual software users' everyday problems and solving them the best that I can.

Summer?! Are you sure that humans are supposed to be living in the Southern Hemisphere?

2020 has been great for me, honestly. I hate leaving the house anyway so now I get to see my friends exactly as often as I want, without having to feel guilty about not seeing them. About once a week is enough for me.

Once a week? Damn, that's way too much. You're a very societable person while believing the opposite.
