Fortunately I was already onboard the airplane by the time everyone's recommendations trickled in. Suffice it to say, Japan had its charms and downsides. The public transportation system was chaotically designed - a true nightmare. I compared everything I saw in Japan to Korea. My conclusions are as follows:

Where Japan is better:
-Cleanliness
-Odor
-Self-Presentation
-Beds
-Hotel rooms
-Saltiness in food
-Perversion
-Beef

Where Korea is better:
-Public Transportation
-Convenience Store Selection
-Packaged Ramen
-Cost of living
-Beer
-Food Balance
-Money (no

Restaurant ramperson are better in Japan than in Korea. But the packaged ones suck in Japan.

Oh, I've honestly never thought about getting ramen in a restaurant. I guess it's just not that big in the states. (obviously packaged ramen is immensely popular though)
