Acquiring Lands
Messengers are sent to each of the following territories, to enquire into purchasing land.
Dingle
Tralee
Nenagh
Dunmahon
Tipperary
--------
At the same time, Geraldine troops quietly take up positions along the borders of these regions - 100 men for each province. No incursion is yet attempted, and the troops stay well back from the border line, simply preparing for now.

Re: Acquiring Lands
The Irish, being divided into clan based territories rather than feudal estates, are very reluctant to engage in the sale of their lands. They send FitzGerald's envoys back with a firm, resounding 'no'.

Re: Acquiring Lands
(1/4 chance of being found out for Tralee and Dunmahon deployments; 19 and 20, successful)
Of the secret deployments, the hundred men sitting upon the Tralee's and Dunmahon's border go without any problems as they remain within Desmond's territory and thus hidden.
(1/2 chance of being found out for Dingle, Nenagh and Tipperary; 2, 9. 4)
As for the secret deployments to the remaining provinces of Dingle, Nenagh and Tipperary, they were not as successful. The deployment to Dingle (rolled a 2) was found out as it moved through Tralee. Having lost the element of surprise and noticing counter troop movements, the unit is forced back to Desmond's lands (rolled a 9). As for Nenagh and Tipperary, one unit manages to get half way to its destination, Nenagh, before they are spotted while the other unit is caught at the border (rolled a 4).
These actions have greatly upset the de Burghs of Clanwilliam, resulting in a letter from them, warning the Desmonds to stay off their lands from now on.
(Turns out the Burkes of Clanwilliam are legitimate de Burghs, did some research on that last night)

Re: Acquiring Lands
Firstly, none of these are Clan Williamburke lands. All are "NOT ACC" Secondly, I ordered the units to Regroup and enter Dingle in force.
As for the de Burghs, they're actually illegally holding the lands of Mortimer, and have been since Mortimer's great-grandfather died.

Re: Acquiring Lands
According to the Ireland map, in order for your troops to move to the borders of Nenagh and Tipperary, you would need to move through their lands, Sky.
I had already rolling everything before you posted (they were done around 9 AM). I only delayed cause I was determining the de Burghs response.

Re: Acquiring Lands
[Dingle and Tralee are FitzMaurice lands actually, Barons of Kerry. I've added them to the map, don't know why they were missed.]
