    Default BAttle AI problems

Firstly i would like to say a big congrats and thank you to everyone participated in the remake of the mod for the Medieval platform. The campaign is amazing and because as a player become to spoiled from mods such as this or Roma surrectum i cant play Rome 2 even with DEI. The problem comes to battles though. Especially in sieges, some AI units just freeze and do one step evey 10 secs , but also my own units freeze in the midlle of the ladders climbing, with half sholdiers of the same unit on walls and half on the ground and the ladders. I give them orders repeatedly but nothing happen. and this is something that happen in 9,5/10 cases. Even battles on open ground seemes odd especially when the enemy AI has two armies. ( Freeze and rearly attacks even if is the attacker ) I have the latest patch of the mod and reinstall it up to five times. As a seasoned medieval player iam following all the instructions for better game performance. Is not that, is something with the battle AI that makes it unplayable for me and that is why i play Rome 1 instead. Am i the only one with such a problem or is a common well known problem that the modders trying to fix? if is the latter i am sorry for bringing up again. If is the first what do you suggest?

EBII BAI may need a little getting used to. Especially if you come from playing other mods/vanilla.
If you really dont get along with it you can always revert the pathfinding and formation files back to vanilla.

That's not exactly the BAI though, it's related to pathfinding which is mostly hardcoded.
What isn't hardcoded in the descr_pathfinding parts. All the things related to 'nodes' control the routing (fleeing units) pathfinding in there, although there are a few other tidbits that help control some other parts of the pathfinder.

I believe tha the formation files are deticated to the style of the mod ( proper phalanx formations, roman squers etch ) Especially now that the get rid of the kill animations and the pathfinding to the unic ancient battle terain and settlements models. So how reverse it to vanilla ( medieval stlyle formations and strategies and different castle and setllement models ) will do any good ? i am almost sure that thinks will get more complicated ( and by that i mean appredictable Ai behavior in a bad sense ) but if you can tell me how to reverse them i will give it a try ( yes, i want to play the mod very very bad . Anyway, so it is not something with my files or the installation but a general "problem" that i have to get used to. ( 2 to 3 segies i am waiting for he clock to passed when i am defender and 1 out of 3 when i am attacker and my unit stack somewere between the ladders and the walls. ) the moding team knows them as problem that need to get fixed sometime in the future if it is possible or they think is just fine?

Sieges are inherently broken, we've done all we can about the pathfinding issues there.

is a little bit more broken than DLV or stainless steel or third age or roma surrectum or EB1 but i will give it a chance never the less because i havent continue a campaign after 30 turns. In roma surrectum that i recently played again the AI seemed completely broken on my first battle but then was more than ok, so maybe are the first particular maps that have this kind of problem. But I have to tell. I love the campaign setting and all the scripting you made, i am not complaign i just wish the BAttlle AI was just like the old bad medieval one.
