I'm a lot into M2, ETW and NTW for the moment, and those games are not very friendly with their omnipresent HUD and flags above units, so I'm not able to take screenshots for a while.
(I know, there are settings to remove them, but you know that those settings don't work great and sometimes the engine requires 2-3 minutes to refresh itself and make the flags disappear)

Unfortunate but understandable, you set a very high standard for screenshots. I thought I knew of some tricks to just totally disable game interface elements in Medieval 2 but it turns out I was just was thinking of settings you hinted at... I'll keep this in mind if I come across something elegant for M2 / ETW / NTW.

Personally though, I'd be happy even if you had a slightly UI marred, but otherwise really decent shot as I know those games can offer.

There is a way to totally remove everything in Medieval 2 ... but I'm playing it, I don't only take screenshots. It makes the game unplayable.
