Thread: Total War: Warhammer II announced

I am sure every available employee has been busy polishing and fixing Three Kingdoms, at least since the release of the Pirates of the Caribbean pack. The positive reception of the next tent-pole title is infinitely more important for Creative Assembly than a minor DLC for an old and averagely profitable game. Moreover, the golden rule of the marketing is not to distract your customers with irrelevant news during, when a release is imminent. After Christmas, CA had prepared a wave of promotional material for Three Kingdoms, specifically designed to build excitement and multiply pre-orders for the upcoming title. Simultaneously selling a lord pack would damage the sales for both the DLC and Three Kingdoms. To be honest, there was never any possibility that any new DLC would have been published between November 2018 and March 2019. After all, CA needs to proportionally distribute the limited number of planned Warhammer DLCs, in order to maintain interest for the announcement of the last part of the trilogy and to prevent any social media outrage at the apparent lack of care. Earliest possible date is probably around May, but I am certain that the lord pack will be uploaded before the summer holidays, with its campaign successor getting released sometime close to the first annual anniversary of the Caribbean Pirates.

    There, just a small correction.

Three Kingdoms is being delayed 23 May, 2019. to polish new systems and fix bugs, though it shouldn't have effect on Warhammer 2 DLC which will now arrive before 3K release, also Clan Eshin had nothing to do with this

Into the fires of battle, unto the anvil of war!

I wonder why they have to delay 3K to make a translation for the gamers in Warsaw. Isn't it aim firest at the Chinese market?

We got new blogpost about "what are teams working on Feb 2019"
    https://www.totalwar.com/blog/what-t...TEz7nomFamDMgY

Fantasy New Content Team – WARHAMMER II

As we said in the last what the teams are working on blog, the Fantasy New Content Team is powering away at a Lord Pack DLC – which we can confirm will be the next content released for the Total War series!

You may have noticed that we sometimes include Old World Updates alongside our DLC releases, and this DLC is no exception as we are working on a bespoke new feature for one of the WARHAMMER I races that’ll have you bending the knee.

    Fantasy Team – pre-production
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The Fantasy Team is still very much hard at work in pre-production for their next project.

This month they’ve been slaving over a hot (for February) mocap studio, with some excellent performances by our resident mocap artists now in the can and waiting to have that all-important digital flesh applied to their bones. Or perhaps more bones, or indeed flesh. After all, some things just can’t be legally motion captured…

Don’t get any funny ideas, though – that picture above is unrelated to their recent endeavours. However, if you’d like to find out more about motion capture at CA, check out .
-Nothing new about WH3, however that top image.....Bretonnia? As next updated Old World Faction? I was expecting Greenskins more likely or Beastmen/Wood Elves but in the end I like even Bretonnia update as it looks like no faction will be left out.

    (My emphasis.)

I don't know enough about Warhammer to be sure, but that definitely looks like another clue to me.

    All the Best,

A religion overhall for Bretonnia? Smething related to chivalric vows?

If the update means they won't just be serving as a doormat to Vampires and Beastmen in basically every campaign I'm cool with it.

Few hours ago there was update to yet another previously unknown DLC for WH2 in SteamDB:
    https://steamdb.info/app/594570/dlc/
and a few hours ago 1003160 was changed to be Free on Demand, which means it is FLC LL
    https://steamdb.info/app/1003160/subs/
This is leaving only one unknown entry for now 1036390, which is probably DLC Grace_CA confirmed while ago... No sigh of possible two FLCs that could fit in shadows on un-updated FLC chart..

EDIT: TW twitch confirmed the FLC will be revealed tomorrow 3PM BST

Negative thing about FLC is, half bonuses are for new DLC units.. (not big problem for me,already bought it)
Positive stuff is, he is offering different way to play. Not just another melee like Gor-Rok/Nakai

Overall with addition of Kroak i don´t mind at all. What´s more, I see kinda pattern in base 4 factions, missing some really iconic characters which we were really expecting.
    Lizardmen: Gor-Rok, Nakai
    Skavens: Skweel/Throt (Thanquol)
    H Elves: Eltharion, Imrik
    D Elves: (Malus)

especially Clan Moulder is missing from skavens without a word....

    And we got steam page:
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1..._II__Tiktaqto/

And basically there is nothing more about him, units or any special feature at the moment..

Starting position for ME is also Southlands

I was hoping for Tetto but Tik is a least something different given his buff to flying units. I think Alith Anar got a special shadow warrior unit with him, I guess Tik doesn't get a ripper alternative? His start location in ME is pretty nice, I find Lustria and the jungle part of the Southlands in the Vortex campaign to be a bit aggravating without the teleport stance.

I don't think the map is accurate, because Mitch said

"The map has been changed, and Tiktaq'to starts in Tlaqua in ME, which isn't part of the Araby desert province."

True about map but general idea where he start in ME is pretty much the same. South border of Southlands.
