Actually my message is a solution to the problem that some users had: "VirtualAlloc (at place 2) returned NULL" ... But I think it had not been understood ...As I said before, installing Rome 2 in English was the solution to this problem .....

I downloaded the aforementioned mod yesterday, but only managed to test it in one battle that didn't actually involve that many units (around 35-37). In this kind of battle the performance is usually still relatively decent, though maybe I noticed some slight improvement, maybe. Or maybe it was just the libido effect...

I need to play a bit more to actually say anything more about it.
Thanks for your input. I'll also try it as soon as I have more free time.

Try unticking the compatibility mode. AFAIK it's not working for some installations. You could also try with Bypass UI ticked.

You could also use SweetFX for graphic enchantments. I'll start working my own project of Rome 2 SweetFx as soon as I'm back from vacations and you'll have 3 different presets to choose.

GEM on steam workshop for RII not updated though - so it works after all these years?

    Yay!

I want styilised ones which look movie like! - If possible!

I'm not sure which version is on STEAM, but if it's the 1.9 one, you're probably good to go. If you have any issues with it, just message me and I'll post you my personal GEM folder which still works as designed.

I have tried all different combos (just one, each and neither) and it doesn't work.

Try this DEI installation. Just copy paste it to base game folder. Not Data ofc, without change anything.
and you could also check this Reshade Preset and let me know.

    Hi there
do you have a launcher which i can use instead the steam launcher?
Steam seems not to like it that i use them only offline and therefore they delete all mod packs.
I remember using a launcher in the old days but i somehow canīt find a current one

Thanks in advance, canīt await to play this mod again

A big thank you for your efforts they do not work. I think I can try using a previous version of Rome II and try GEM if it works with that.

The mod managers of old don't work anymore, but if you download mods from Steam and then rename them it should prevent them from being deleted.

What Dardo said. No need for any other launcher. Just out a few @@@ in front of your mods so STEAM wont delete them.

If you can't even make the Reshade to work, there is nothing I can do. There is no logical explanation for that, as they should have worked out of the box without issues. Especially the Reshade one.

So i just put, lets say 3 @@@ in front and in the submod which already has a @ i make one more?
PLUS, do i have to remove it again in case of an update?

I see. I use the same version and I haven't really had any problems with it lately. I remember, though, that the first time I installed it on my new laptop with Windows 10 I struggled a lot to make it work.

It was a chaotic process and I can't remember what I did in the end to make it work, but looking closely at my .Net Framework and c++ credists and making sure that these are up-to-date was surely something that helped.

    Anytime.
If we're talking about the DEI's Forum 2 pack version yes you should do it every time. The auto deletion happens because at some point you downloaded these modpacks with STEAM and now every time STEAM recognizes them, auto deletes them.
You don't need to add exactly 3@ or 2@ in front, it depends on the mod loading order you want to have. The launcher loads the pack alphabetically, so with that in mind, you'll need to make your own edits.

hey guys from DEI, thanks for the awesome work! best mod since EB!

I have a graphics problem with some of the units: Units that get into phalanx formation dont show their pikes/spears (saw one unit model doing it though) and units with naked textures a usually cut of from the screen. What can I do? Is it my settings or an update problem? because I dont have any performance issues with the main game...

    thanks for the help!

    Welcome to DEI's Forums.
I guess you're using STEAM, so make sure to grab part 9 and 10 too, since you're probably not subscribed to them.
