[SSHIP] Larger Settlement Symbols and faction specific Rebel Symbols
I always get annoyed when I have to squint my eyes to see the settlement symbols in the fog of war. So I grabbed my trusty tutorial and created bigger symbols, and while I was at it I made faction individual rebel symbols as well.
Simply place the download into the SS6.3 folder and extract it there (7Zip is freeware), the 'fix' is save game compatible. Other then the CAS and TGA files it also includes a edited descr_sm_faction file to enable the rebel symbols.
Here a before\after comparison
An example of the faction rebel symbols
And here the full list of symbols included in the download

Re: [DOWNLOAD] Larger Settlement Symbols and faction specific Rebel Symbols
wonderful job Gigantus!Thanks!
but for banners and flags of regnum siciliae should be more historical no?about this flags(later)
or this (early) for origins in Roberto Guiskard or Altaville
also for Kingdom of Aragon with 4 red bars in their banners and flags
and about the rest of banners LIfth can tell if are historically correct(byzantine, france, rum selyuks,cumans...) i think that Lifth would want modify or correct some banners for the next release...

Re: Larger Settlement Symbols and faction specific Rebel Symbols
It will depends of the period length during wich the symbol has been used. For instance, if the single headed eagle has been used longer than the 2 headed one during the game period, then we'll use that one. Overwise, we keep the 2 headed eagle.
Same about the English leopards.
The reason why is that we can't change them during the game.

Re: Larger Settlement Symbols and faction specific Rebel Symbols
according banners, I made different banners and captains for the major units in the roman roster, but anyone knows if we can have different flags, the little ones that goes with the unit exp, for every unit as well or is one set per faction as well?
Re: Larger Settlement Symbols and faction specific Rebel Symbols
Not sure to get it right
For battle banners (or unit banners), there's a set dedicated to each faction in which there's a large and a small models for each unit type if I remember correctly (f.e. 1 for infantry, 1 for cavalry, etc...).
For officers or flag bearers, each model has its own texture depending its faction. These work in the same way as other unit models (a mesh + 1 or several texture files associated to it).
Is it what you want to know?

Re: Larger Settlement Symbols and faction specific Rebel Symbols
What year is the end of the game? The single-headed eagle was used from the 12th century to the 15th century, and the double-headed eagle was used onwards.
Re: Larger Settlement Symbols and faction specific Rebel Symbols
Yes, the double headed eagle was for holy roman empire in the renaissance(1450 onwards) so i think that single headed is right or more appropiate for sship mod
