Editing projectiles
Allright, I have a couple of quick questions. I am curently in the process of reworking Gyrocopters and Steam Tanks into more ... usefull and fun to use units. The plan is mainly to give them guns someone would actualy want to use, as oposed to the curently underwhelming selection of really weak weapons. With this in mind I have a few questions:
1) If the only things I edit are the missle weapons themselves without changing their key names, do I still need to add the land_units and main_units tables to the mod? Or will the vanilla units pick up my edited weapons and use them?
2)I'm using PFM, and I have a bit of a dilema with what is the meaning of a column in the missle_weapons_table. Column 4 is labeled as unknown 3, what's the point of the values there and how do they corelate with the rest of the table. It seems it could somehow describe a quality of the projectile fired, in which case if I say replace the visuals of the steam gun with those of the hellstorm rocket battery, should I make a coresponding edit here as well?

Re: Editing projectiles
To answer my first question: nope, you can just edit the projectiles and not have to paste in the unit entries.
Creating new projectiles for compatiblity reasons however means you do have to paste in the unit entries and asign the new weapons to them. Bonus for anyone wondering about giving the siege tank a new secondary turrent weapon: the entry is found in the officer table (steam-tank turret is treated as unit officer).
as for my second question: I have no clue what it does but it seems to not need any editing. Oh well. Time to play test this.
