Default Suggestions to Include Galadriel [non general]

To me the mod really needs her [or her powers] in it in some manner. In the complete guide to middle earth by Robert Foster it says

"throughout the second and third ages Lorien remained safe from Sauron, For Galadriel's power was such that she knew his mind but hers was closed to him, and she could protect Lorien from assault by any power less than Sauron himself"

In the letters of Tolkien He says of the "free people" of middle earth Gandalf, Elrond and Galadriel are the most powerful. She help force Sauron out of dol Guldor, sent Gwaihir to rescue Gandalf, tore down the walls of Dol Guldur, helped defend lorien from assaults etc

"Lórien itself was assaulted three times, but the armies of Dol Guldur were driven back due to the courage of the Elves and the power of Galadriel's Ring. It is said that the power of her Ring could not be overcome unless Sauron himself would come to do battle. After the fall of Sauron she, with Thranduil of Mirkwood and their elven allies, crossed the Anduin into Dol Guldur, where they tore down its walls and laid bare its pits. She is, however, no mere fey being, but a lady of great power. She bears one of the Great Rings - Nenya - the Ring of Adamant, and with the One Ring in her grasp as well, she would be a mighty match for the Dark Lord Sauron.Galadriel possessed a tremendous amount of magical powers, and was said to be the greatest of the Ñoldor after Fëanor"

    Suggestion

So if she cannot be a general in the game. Is there not some way to bring her power into the game. Maybe if Lorien is attacked, similar to how the Balrog emerges. But instead if it cant be her, than she and her ring can effect any assault on Lorein in some manner, making it harder for the attacker. Maybe a message appears telling the attacker about her ring and they have reduced attack. I dont know any ideas?

Moved from the main TATW forum as there really is no chance that further development of Third Age Total War will happen any time soon, if ever at all.

This topic has partly already been discussed in
THIS THREAD. Please do not repeat the (lore) discussion that has been conducted in that thread.

This is the submod forum, so I request and expect the replies to be about:

Can someone explain to me how she cant be a general in the game? If im not mistaken all you gotta do is make a model of her on the campaign map and the battle map? and just get some audio from the movies like so many other generals in this mod before.

Ive heard it before that she and Eowyn cant be generals but ive just never understood why really.

There's no technical problem to add her into the game - it's just that there're potential as well as unavoidable unappealing side effects in the mechanics.
    Say that we have a model, portrait and voices for Galadriel and add her into the game. These things would follow, because technically she is a male, as far as the game count it;

    1) If you start with her in the family tree, she can't be married to Celeborn obviously. And she may be offered marriage to a woman and they can then get children.
This may be avoided by starting with her outside the family tree - while Celeborn still has "her" as wife in the tree if he's included to it, or both are outside the family tree. But she is always a hasty 'man of the hour'-click away from ending up in the tree.

This can be avoided by some care from the player, yes. But if I know the player base right
    - a portion will come crying the game is bugged because they could/did adopt her, and
    - another portion will post images of how "this is the mod!" where "Lady Gal' is into some 'girl on girl action', if ya know what I mean! Or is it threeways in the trees for Teleporno??" [yes, a propsed name for Celeborn was actually Teleporno...].
Neither appealing for the modders, especially as they must admire the character in order to work to implement her in the first place, haha

    2) An alternative is to make the entire faction "teutonic", a.k.a no visible family tree, but that all is handled through adoptions (as Orc factions does).
This way you avoid the problem in 1, but frankly teutonic trees are as a rule less fun than normal family trees, or be unfitting if a ruling family is known, so that will have to be a trade off the mods decides upon.
Unless Mirkwood and Lórien are split it may be deemed an undesirable sacrafice to lose the family tree for Thranduil and Legolas.

    3) For the general to be able to have the name Galadriel it must be added to the male name list for the faction. So later on "real" male characters can get the name when they're born/recruited/spawned.

So, other concerns aside [which includes how modders interpet the lore, which is key, and for example matters as Eowyn's age when the camapign starts], these above drawbacks has to be taken into account. So far no one gone so far as to implement her and release it, all concerns taken together.
That said, we have added her to the yet unreleased DCI:LA as seen here and here. In our case Lothlórien is a "teutonic" faction, so those were covered, though for more reasons than her alone naturally.

A best choose is make an ancillary "Galadriel" for Celeborn, like an assistant for him ^^
