Next update before i start a new campaign?

I'll go out on a limb and say that a lot of the changes will require a new campaign to show up.

As for breaking your current campaign, I'd not place any bets on it myself but then again, you can just wait to download it.

Well, 1.2 is called BETA for a reason ; P

You can always keep your current DeI version or even have both, just rename one of them. That is one of the reasons why standalone version is better than Steam, you can pick which you want

1.2.1 (aka Hellenic Overhaul) will not break save games but there will be some incompatibilities. Various issues will pop up in saves (like blank/unuseable building slots and wrong reform units). I would not recommend continuing a campaign with it but then again if you are not using one of the factions heavily affected then there is no reason to update as KAM said - just keep the old version for that campaign.

Also, if you are okay with a few of those issues possibly popping up, it will be save compatible otherwise.

Can't wait to play with the updated Hellenic Factions.

I'm currently trying to restrain my self from starting with Macedon and Epirus.
And as I said before to you and KAM, the (Total War Hellas Team) will be right next to you for anything you need.

Nice! This is a thread that I'd always want to make but held off on due to fear of decimation from Ivan

Between the Hellenic update and LL' s True Romans submid, the Mediterranean is going to become a very fun place to play with, besides the shakeup in this region from 1.2 in general. Thanks for the input, guys.

Between this, Mass Effect Andromeda and the new Dark Souls 3 DLC dropping soon, my declining social life is only going to erode further

Oddly, I don't really feel bad about that.

It's good to know if a major update is pending, not for my own campaigns so much (who cares, play it out a few days or abandon it), but for the real deal -- multiplayer campaigns that can take months to finish when your opponent, or teammate, can coordinate with you. That's where the action is. We're trying to figure out now what to do with our 1.1 campaign, and I'm leaning toward a wrap as soon as the Hellenic update is out.
