    Default Archers damage

Hi guys, I want to ask about the huge differences between archer units dmg. For example,
    Bazard Voivode
Mosneni archers cost 550 and have 22 dmg,
Curteni foot archers cost 600 and 57 dmg,
Mosneni archers high cost 700 and have 22 dmg.
Kievan Rus has Rus hunters for 250 with 57 dmg.
All Bohemian archers worth 100 - 900 have 22 dmg.

maybe this is made so factions with strong inf will have bad skirms and factions with meh/weak inf could have strong skirms, but in my opinion the missile damage diffrence is way too big. Thanks for posting i hope it gets fixed

There could be range diference, for example 40 for the cheapest peasants, then 45, 50 and 55 for the most elite units to make it simple. Crosbows have 62 I think so it should be ok.

There should be no difference except between bow types i.e. longow vs recurve vs regular. The bow was a peasant weapon trained from a very young age.

    Okay, there are two things:

    1. Cost
Honest answer: Bad balancing between different roster worked by different people. There should be a standardization effort.

    2. Damage.
You're seeing the difference between a short selfbow and a recurved composite warbow. I agree that there's a big gap in between shortbows with other much more powerful warbows - there's should be a stronger selfbow that aren't quite longbows, for units inbetween.

I disagree with this, because you discounted the skill of the men: there are accuracy and reload skill. Accuracy adds the odds of hitting the target, reload cuts the base reload time by the percentage. These skillpoints would increase as the unit get more experienced. More professional units starts with better skillpoints. With this system, a ranged unit's effectiveness isn't set in stone, but can change with experience.

    I'm siding with this more.

LOL,who cares about historical accuracy this is balancing. If faction with strong inf and cav has good or at least okish skirms it will be broken.

I don't care either way as long as the bows actually do decent damage for once.
