Adding new agent type to Chaos
Hello, im aware this has probably been tried before and ive been working at it now for two days without sucess,
has anybody actually got chaos to recruit a spy/dignitary/something other than a champion wizard yet?
I can get it so that the agent types show up in the factions list and so that they show up correctly on the agent recruit table but am unable to ethier get the agent types to populate, or the game simply crashes when you attempt to open the screen.

Re: Adding new agent type to Chaos
well, ive basically concluded that this is impossible, however there is a workaround by overwriting what's already there. not ideal, since all your "custom" agents are goign to ahve the same skill tree but its better than nothing.

Could you explain this workaround?
Im trying to create a new agent type for dwarf and it would help me a lot.

Re: Adding new agent type to Chaos
Don't know about the crashing, but I may be able to help to populate the screen with agents.
I think you have to change the startpos. If you use PFM you can insert the normal startpos-file there and open it.
Go to: Campaign_Startpos - Compressed_Data - Camapgin_ENV - Campaign_Model - World - Faction_array - (now you have to search for the faction that you are modding, the playable factions are normally the first entries between 0-12), open the entry of your faction and go to "Character_recruitment_pool_manager - character_recruitment_pool_block". Now you have between 4 and 7 different entries and every entry is generating a special agent type. If you want for example the Empire to be able to recruit Runesmiths, you can go to the empire entry of the spys, right click on the entry and duplicate it. Now you can rename one of these entries to "runesmith" and the agents should be generated. Don't duplicate the entries for generals and colonels, cause they work differently, I think. use the normal agents like "spy", "wizard", "champion", "dignitary" etc.
The assembly kit may auto-generate these entries if you create a new startpos there and have the correct changes to the different tables, but using this method is much easier.
