    Hrm, I tried adding dismounted broken lances as well, just to see what I was doing wrong, again invisible units... So I hope the error is in that first post, if not, I'll post my entry for the broken lances.

    everything is showing correctly - I have used your battle.model entry.Unless you are using my mod folder, you should have not problem

    this is the code I have right now..trying to add chivs to england..ive alrdy altered the Unit file and building files to allow them to be recruited and ownership... however I can't get them to ever become avaliable at all..

    OH MY GOD! IT WAS THE .BAT FILE! IT HAD A TYPO IN IT! @(#&!&@!!! Thanks for double checking for me, Hans! I really appreciate it.

    I've been editing my models db file very easily for a long time now.

    I even made a mod that features alot of units belonging to other factions.

    But recently my pc crashed, and has just got fixed.

    My game still runs but it is not shown as "installed" MTW2 that is.

    So now when I play the mod with the edited model db my units I added for other factions appear like "silver" men, they are just pure silver.

    I'm thinking possibly I lost the file extension "modeldb"... what do you guys think?

    I would just reinstall the game..I dont know if MTW has a "repair" option or not

    I'm at work right now so can't test it but everything looks OK at first glance.
    Two questions: is the problem related to custom battles where unit does not appear (if so add england to both eras 1 and 2) or is it that you can't recruite unit while playing campaign

    Both...the units don't show on custom battle nor can i recruit them in the campaign..Im looking back over everything tho in case i might have over looked something other than that I am totally lost as to why it doesn't work lol

    Thanks I will try that and then see how it goes..nope still doesnt work lol I guess england isnt ment to have chivs on my game lol..and the game doesnt crash or anything either it just doesnt give me units lol..I might uninstall then reinstall the whole thing and try again

    there is no need to reinstall the game, just make sure you have not got all entries correctly done that's all

    Attempting to add Hospitaller knights to the Saxons, can get the unit in-game and the horses appear fine + the captain of course. However the regular knights only appear as totally orange and green ( as in no textures at all only the mesh with orange/green over it.

    Woot my first hour of trying this and I finally have success!
    (until I tweak it more) I always wanted Dismounted English knights for Hre

    Now ,y question is I would like to change the armor upgrade texture to that of the dismounted hre general texture as his clothes/armor is more suitable to the actual english dismounted knight.

    Anyone have any thoughts on a way to do that?

    While I hadn't noticed that, it unfortunately was not the problem, thanks for trying though.

    Just to clarify this is what happens and seen no mention of it throughout the thread but seems similar to the 'silver' soldier problem a few had:


    Also, as far as the entry being incomplete goes, everything above the start of what i posted is Knights Templar, and everything below where i cut it off is Hospitaller Upgrade 1.

    I'm surprised as I have never seen anything like that before.Game usually CTD's in case of any wrong entries added to battle_models.modeldb.I can only think that perhaps it might something to do with lack of Final Heater Special texture file for Saxon.You could try to copy/rename that particular file from another faction and see if you get anywhere with that.Sorry but my MTW2 has already Saxons replaced so I can't test it for you
