The London residence, belonging to the Duke of York is reopened for the first time in half a decade. His exile lifted, his position restored.
The Earl of Northumberland comes to see the Duke of York on a certain matter.

He is led to the Duke who was reading some matters of state at his desk.
"Ah brother" Edward said. He had been reluctant in using the term but he was fond of the man, even if it was perhaps not mutual. "How have you been? Are you here to meet your niece?"
I have indeed heard the news of a little girl of York being born. She was named... Margaret correct?
Percy had only just learned of this news through a servant, sent by his sister, to tell him what had happened. However, royal duties kept him tied down and so he couldn't remember the message well enough.
As much as I wanted to come and see her, I would like to conduct some business with you, Lord Chancellor.

"Indeed, named after both the mother and your own mother." Edward nodded laying down the document he was reading.
The duke got up "Do tell, would you care with some wine?" he asked while he held a cup and the cupfillerthing
It's about a shared neighbor of ours up north, my Lord.
Harry nods to the offer of wine before speaking further.
What do you think of the news surrounding Lord Neville? Being a known bigamist.

"oh" Edward said dryly while he pours in some wine before handing over the cup.
"I have no love for the man I fear, the way he tried to ... undermine my brother's rights, the fact he came inquiring after a daughter I did not have and his natural lazy posturing are of great dis pleasement to myself."
Edward drank his cup dry and sat it atop his desk. "I was informed of this indeed. Intolerable."
"I heard of such a thing. Truly his greed knows no bounds."
Harry sighs, keeping with a facade before sipping his wine. If York had no love for Neville, surely others wouldnt.
"I am of a similar mind. Neville is rising and I want him thrown back to the dirt. I want to remind him who are the true masters of the Scottish Marches. Will you help you, Lord York?"

Edward grinned of course he would take this opportunity. "Aye brother I will. Do you have something in mind?" Edward grinned evilly
"Perhaps we can play upon the current sentiments towards Neville. Make others believe he is a bigamist or perhaps worse."
Neville wasnt entirely sure but perhaps some pounds here and there could help with convincing.
"Show England that Neville is a serpent and that Lady Beaufort needs to be saved from him."

"It is my understanding the King has been informed of it as well, and that Neville has already been summoned to Eltham. After the (Arch?)bishop of York had visited the King and informed him of this... outrages act of bigamy." Edward remarked. It wasn't fully clear what his brother in law really wanted him to do.
"Then i must send a letter to York, garnering his favor to ensure the annullment is not performed. If this can be done, Neville will be disgraced forever and the North will look down upon him surely!"

"Aye, I would favor that apperouch. Tell me when you know more brother, so we may plot more about the Neville return to the dust. Where they belong."

The father is initially sent away. The Lord Chancellor is a busy man and has no time at this current hour. However the priest is informed to return the next week.
When he finally did reappear a clerk brought the father into the manor and led him to the Duke's Office. Who was as usual skimming through documents and sipping wine. He sat there while the father was offered a seat by the clerk, together with refreshments before he then again departed. All while the Lord chancellor kept reading. It was clear he was waiting for the father to introduce himself.
Henry entered the room bowing before the Duke
Evening your Grace, I am Father Henry Winter. I'm happy that you have found time in your busy schedule to see me, I understand governing the realm can be a daunting task.

The Lord Chancellor kept writing, dipping his Quill in ink and again, continue writing.
Much was on the dukes mind, the father looked like he was not one of those concerns at this moment. After around 15 minutes in silence the Duke laid down his quill and placed his hand on the table, tapping his fingers while observing the priest for a moment.
"Father Winter hmm." The duke was visibly thinking, who the hell was this man he thought?
"How can I help you father? I do not remember summoning you? However I seem to forget things often these days so remind me if I did summon you father."

The duke continued to tap his finger, he couldn't remember a previous appointment request, non the less he had people for such things so he had no need to remember.
Silence once more had befallen the room. The Duke was a quiet man in private, he enjoyed the silence, contradicting the rumors about him.
"Interesting hmm.. hmm.." The duke still tapped his fingers, he was thinking.
"And what would you suggest I would let you do?" he said dryly.
