Stainless Steel stopped working

Was able to play not too long ago, didn't change anything to my Medieval game. Regular campaign and Kingdoms work, but Stainless Steel is stuck on a black loading screen with my taskbar and the hourglass cursor spinning. No music or anything. If anyone is able to help that would be great, I'm on a year long game with a friend and we want to continue this weekend.

Fixed it by redownloading a different version and reinstalling that.

Ok this is really weird, the mod will run fine. Until I try to start it a second time. I change my video settings and it accepts them, I check if battles work and they do. Campaign and saves work. Starting up the mod a second time just gives the black screen with eternal hourglass. I did change the draw distance to remove the sprites, but it always worked fine (also worked on first start up).

Reinstalled again, same problem. Works once then refuses to load.

Also, give us details such as early or late era, during which faction's turn, etc...
