Default Big Fat compliment for 1.2 - little Warstory

    Overall:

Very well done, DeI Team. I started a Campaign as Rome in H/N and it rocks. the CAI is much more aggressive in War. The battles are much more insteresting as well.
Trade is hard to get, but as i grow stronger i get more and more agreements! Well done.

The Little story to show how great it works:

Situation: I've taken all of italy and a Part of illyria (Rest belongs to a big friendly nation). i'am currently at War with a very big Massilia to conquer Raetia et Noricum. The AI is agressive and the War wont won yet.

I had a trade agreement with a minor iberian Tribe wich was at War with the lustiani. The Lustiani declared War at me and destroryed my trade partner fast.
I didn't give a since, hey, the dont attack me from Iberia anyway..... nobody has ever made a naval invasion on Italy in the past 600h of my R2TW playtime...

So my I & II Full legion were North fighting 3 Massilian Full stacks + garnison. ,my III. Legion was in Illrya (Only 5 units) and my Guard-Legion was in Rome(5 Units).. my weak fleet was destroyed by A Massilia Navy and i never cared to rebuild (nobody makes Naval Invaions anyway).

The I & II Legion defeated 2 of the Massilian Armies & Garnisons. My I Legion had to fight uphill vs 1,5 Stacks + a Garnison. I won, but lost over 60% of my men ( I use historical Legions - half Legioniare half Auxilliares) including most Hastati and Prinicpes (My silver veterans). The II.Legion won a easy battle against a Garnison.

Same Turn alter.... a Lustiani Full stack with veteran units hits Campania with an Naval invasion.... My main Food Region.. They slaughtered my Garnison and took the city, resulting in a -10 Food for me.

So with the the food shortage, i wasnt able to replenish my Armies and i coudnt call back the II. Legion because of the reaming Massilian forces. the I. Legio woud not be able to hold them back.

Due the conquest of 2 Villiages i looted about 20k Gold. it was urgent to retake Campania to get my food supply up and running again. So i hired 15x Merc units (Spear and Sword & 3 Cav) in Rome to fill up my Guardlegion,
I attacked Campania with this Legion... against the remaining Iberian Full stack... and lost... in a 1vs1... that has not happend alot to me.. :-)

So here i sit... 2 decimated Legions, a Legion far away in Illyria and one remaining operational Legion wich is buys holding of Massilain forces.

Well done:-) now let see how i get out of this mess :-)

YEah I am having income problems with 4 stacks of Armies. If I disband one I will be attacked on one of my flanks. I am at war with nearly every barbarian tribe, Carthage, Epirus and a few more to the east. I think I am about the get rekt. H/N here too

Sparta went from, "Greeks but better" to a constant fight for survival using armies made up mostly of allies. Without Corinthian light hoplites, I would be so screwed.

Im currently at war with the entirety of Thrace, and Macedonia is the battleground. I haven't been able to hold anything outside of Hellas for more than five turns.
