Crashes during battles solution

Just wanted to make a post for anyone that was having crashes during battles. I tested this on a battle that consistently crashed every single time I played it. The crashes only ever happened when i was ambushed by multiple stacks. My unit details were set to very high. Multiple stack field/settlement battles had not crashed for me.

After frustratingly confirming three times that my ambush battle always crashed at about the same spot (just when the reinforcing armies were unveiled) maybe 10 minutes in, I decided to first reduce unit details to high and voila. Made it all the way to the end of the battle for the first time. Reloaded the save just to make sure and yep, made it to the end again! Anyone else who was having crashes may want to try this and post back if this fixed your problem.

My specs just for reference: Intel i5, Nvidia 780ti, 8gb ram, windows 7

Thanks for letting us know, thats odd its with ambush battles. Maybe its simply the amount of units and the textures.

I just hope it helps the problem all around, my friend was having crashes in fort battles w/ multiple stacks as well. He has a better system than mine too. My fort battles work fine so I really don't understand what's causing it, the amount of units would be the likely culprit. But if setting unit details lower is the fix, I'm happy to sacrifice a bit of variation in the troops to keep the game going.
