    Default Compatibility.

My cousins are over from new zealand and i was just wanting to confirm that if i bought a PC game over here it would work alright when they take it back home.

I know DVD's normally have the region difference but just to be safe thought i would check first. Thanks.

has to be asia-pacific region coded to work in new zealand. dvd's included.

only way around it is to install windows on the pc and tell it that you live in america (im assuming that is where you are from?) but then that cripples it for playing other game releases in new zealand region so not worth it.

I from Scotland. didn't realise i had forgot to put that in my first post. So your saying that they wouldnt work in NZ unless you do what you said in your post. Thanks

when i got my first copy of windows 95 i installed it incorrectly and had it thinking it was an american pc. trying to install asia-pacific version of quake ended in an error message that it wasnt for this region.

xp is differnet but im sure. it might work, but might not. find out first for sure before you pay for something that might be useless. xp should allow it, but can never tell.

i have a copy of star wars galaxies that i got from america when it came out cause lame sony online decided not to release it over here, but we got everquest 2? pfft. anyways long story short it installed and played fine. but i have a copy of bf2142 i got from us as well, and that wont install. swg is a cd version, bf2142 a dvd version.

    its a mystery to me

I think the program would work on all computers but as stated earlier it's probably the region area's with DVDs that mess things up.
