Malbork is the Polish name for Marienburg. So you created two provinces of the same name... Also Malbork/Marienburg did not exist in 1223y... Next thing - Khelmno - correct name would be Chełmno, is placed wrongly. I mean Chełmno was the capital of Ziemia Chełmińska district (Culmer Land) which was a part of Mazovia, not Pomerania (Mazovian Duke welcomed Teutons and gave them Chełmińska Land as a fief, so Teutons were vassal of Mazovian Duke in Ziemia Chełmińska, while you put Khelmno in Gdańsk Pomerania).

You mean Kwedis? This name would be correct for 1223y. Marienwerder appeared over 100y later in 1336y. Still Malbork as a village around Gdansk looks terrible. Most important settlements in Gdańsk Pomerania after Gdańsk itself would be probably Świecie (highly important castle that controlled the trade on the Vistula http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%9Awiecie ) and Słupsk (which was a capital of separate Duchy http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C5%82upsk ).

You don't understand. The name Marienwerder was created in 1336 as in this year the settlement was given new 'town's rights'. So even in year let say 1300 the Germans did not call Kwidzyn Marienwerder simply because that name did not exist in that time.

About Poland, I can't see a thread dedicated. And I have already posted you some info about Poland, did you miss it? In general in Poland things are very complicated. In 1223y we have 4 major dukes/duchies, but... In 1210y the Pope announced an edict in which the old rule of seniorate of Boleslav III the Wrymouth was brought back to life. Then in 1217y we have a new arrangement betwen 3 most important dukes - of Lesser Poland, Greater Poland and Silesia. They founded a pact which said that "the one who will live longest will get the other duchies" (so the kingdom would be back united). As a result in 1218y the most powerful duke of Lesser Poland - Leszek the White is now titled "dux Poloniae", or "dux totius Poloniae" - I guess you know what does it mean? In 1222 and in 1223 all Polish Dukes organized Prussian crusades. Also they founded in 1223y a special institution - Prussian Guard on the Prussian boarder. So you may present Poland as 4 major Duchies, but if you make one Poland under the dux Poloniae Leszek the White it would also have some historical background.

BTW Leszek the White dux totius Poloniae ruled not only in seniorate province of Lesser Poland in 1223y - the Gdansk Pomerania with Gdańsk itself was also his domain.

Hard to say as I don't know what your plans about Teutons and their possibly appearance in Prussia region are. You may be pretty sure, that if the Prussian Guard of allied Polish Dukes achieved success then the duke of Mazovia would not invitate Teutons. Then if Poles did not support Teutons during both great Prussian uprisings, then the Order would be completely wiped out (both uprisings happened before Marienburg was built). Also the land that later Marienburg was built on, belonged to Gdansk Pomerania and was sold to Teutons around 1250y. The Marienburg creation started in 1274, your game starts in 1223y, so many events had to happen in Order favour so the castle could be built at all. And Marienburg was made Teuton capital only after the Gdansk Pomerania conquest - what if Poland did not lost Pomerania in 1308/1309? If the decision was up to me, I would call that province Zantyr as it was a large and important pagan keep on exact the same spot in 1223y.

The success of the Teutonic Order to gain Burzenland was mainly due to the close marital links of Andrew II to the Teutonic nobility: Gertrud, his first wife, was a member of the influent family of the counts of Andechs-Meran. Elizabeth, the daughter of Andrew II and Gertrud, was taken as a child to the court of the landgraves of Thuringia (Thueüringen), where she married 1221 the young landgrave Louis IV. Elizabeth became later famous for her caritative and ascetic life and was canonized as St. Elizabeth in 1235 (5a).

Opposition against the Teutonic party culminated in the assassination of queen Gertrud in 1213. Thus the Latin party, whose most prominent representative was the junior rex Bela (king between 1235 and 1270) increased its pressure and succeeded to organize the miltary expulsion of the Teutonic Order in 1225. The Order was partly responsible for this evolution, because they didn't fully comply with the regulations of the diploma of donation, issued around May 7 1211 (6). The Teutonic Order colonised the Burzenland, according to our research, with people coming mainly from Germany proper. Because the Order granted the Burzenland settlers absolute communal autonomy, which most of the previously colonized people in the territories outside the desertum of Geisa II had lost, there was a certain migration from there to Burzenland, which king Andrew II explicitly prohibited in his rebestowal document issued around 7 May 1222 (7). The Order had a clear colonizasion concept. Thus Kronstadt (Brasov, Brassó) had been planned to be the town in Burzenland with a population of craftsmen and traders. The other locations should be rural, with the exception of Marienburg (Feldioara, Földvár), where the Order was seated. Thus Burzenland had an ecclesiastical and administrative capital, Marienburg , and a trade-capital, Kronstadt (8). The Order was very successful in his fight against the Cuman-Mongol power in southern Moldavia and in eastern Walachia, as the re-bestowal document attests: the borders of the Burzenland are described as reaching from the crests of the Carpathian mountains up to the Danube in the South and up to the the mouth of the Siret and Danube. Coin discoveries are a proof of this development (9). They also indicate that the Order and his protégés, the traders of Kronstadt, had gained considerable economic influence in the region of the lower Danube, wich was possible only due to the military presence of the knights. They had thus accomplished the main objective of the Burzenland-donation, the protection against the Cumans. But they had become too dangerous in the view of their rivals, the Latin party, to whose diplomatic efforts we must ascribe the issue of the document of privileges for the Saxons living "from Broos to Draas" (10) by Andrew II at the end of 1224 (11), exactly six months before the Teutonic Order was expelled

The German influence became more marked when, early in the 13th cent., King Andrew II of Hungary called on the Teutonic Knights to protect Transylvania from the Cumans, who were followed (1241) by the Mongol invaders. Large numbers of Romanians, called Vlachs or Walachians, were in the region by 1222, although the exact date that their penetration began is disputed. Originally seminomadic shepherds, the Vlachs soon settled down to agriculture.

At the beginning of the XIII-een century the Teutonic Knights on thyeir truly name “ The Knights of the Hospital of Saint Mary from Accra” having their High Commander to venice was come in to the Barsa Land ( the old name of the Brasov County from today ) It was`nt come the entire order, but a small group. During at the time when their high commander hermann von salza was on the Saint Land, those settled in to the Barsa land was ruled by the crusaider Theodoryc, which in may 7-th 1212, obtain an important fiscal privilage from the king. Because the rock where it will be built the Bran Castle was called before to 1377 the name of Thydric`s rock ( lapide Tydrici) it is very possible that from his order was built here a wood fortification, maybe one of the 5 citadells of the Teutonic Knights in Transylvania.
