    Default Declining Noble Pop

Hello, been playing 1.2 for a few days now, about 100 turns into a Makedon campaign (VH/H), and thoroughly enjoying it. I played the mod not long after it came out and ended up going back to just mixing and matching mods, but the work you guys have done since then is really impressive, I hope you're all proud of what you've achieved and thank you for putting so much love into this mod, it's a cracker now.
Anyway, onto the topic at hand! After a miserable first attempt at my campaign (Seriously, screw you Rome..) i restarted and played slower and with a bit more caution (Rome BFF) and have managed to bring Athens and Sparta to heel, and conquered the 4 region Thracian province. I'm licking my wounds but sitting pretty as I wait to build up my cash reserves before I have a pop at Crete, and it's giving me a bit of time to check my population and how it's growing/changing. I've noticed that no matter the buildings I have I'm suffering from a decline of nobles in all provinces. After exhuasting my starting regions Noble supply I had been using Athens to grab a few more top tier troops, and I'm sure it started with over 2k Nobles, it's now only got 800 and the growth screen is showing that's declining further. I have the Fortified main chain building, a tier3 Hoplite barracks, Fountain, and Odeon. All give a small boost, but it's not enough. Am I doing something wrong?

Ah ok, so it's the overall % of the population that's declining, so I'm still getting more nobles a turn, just they're falling as % of my population. Is this just normal then? Is everyone deciding they don't realy like telling everyone else what to do and would rather get pissed down the pub and sleep in the gutter or something?

Once population reaches a certain size the overcrowding effect will mostly outweigh bonuses, otherwise population would continue to grow and get out of hand.

My 1st class pop is a few thousand but I can't recruit any more units that take 1st class pop. On the unit recruit screen it says I have a few dozen left when I really have thousands.
