I strongly encourage everyone to go look at the new rules involving childbirth. New rules for royal taxation and overseas domains have also been implemented.
Concerning incomes:
Everyone starts with a full, unmodified year's worth of income as their starting purse. Incomes will from then on be collected as normal: every Friday, at the turn of the new year.

Made some changes:
- Garrisons for castles are now doubled:
- Garrison upgrades in the Wares of London are now also buffed.Garrison:
- Primary Residence Castles have a base garrison of 100 men: 60 Yeomen Archers, 40 Yeomen Footmen.
- Secondary Castles have a base garrison of 50 men: 30 Yeomen Archers, 20 Yeomen Footmen.
- The garrison cannot leave the castle under any circumstances.
- Professional troops (tier II and III) do not need to be levied and are always standing, but have a recruitment time of 24 hours.
Quite a few major changes to make note of, as these affect incomes and landholdings quite drastically:
Incomes have been doubled, and are now as follows:
Income brackets:
Poor (red): £200 per annum
Sparse (orange): £250 per annum
Average (yellow): £300 per annum
Prosperous (light green): £350 per annum
Rich (green): £400 per annum
This has been compensated with major changes to the map. Player domains have roughly been halved - however this shouldn't be treated as a nerf. most of you will in fact be making more income than before. Your core domains have been kept as intact as possible, and if something is owned by your character historically then that should still be represented on the map. If incomes are not found to be equitable or you feel that you have in fact been reduced in power, drop me a message. These changes have mainly been done to allow room for smaller landlords, barons and the like, which are now properly represented on the map.
Province ownership is listed here, and the new maps can be found here.
Rules for purchasing provinces:
Lords often engaged in the buying and selling of estates. Therefore, lords can seek to buy lands from other players, NPC lords, and even the smaller landowners located in the “Not Accounted For” provinces. However, to prevent exploit by the wealthier lords, the buying of non-player lands is governed by some restrictions:
- Those who hold less than five provinces may engage in the buying of NPC lands freely.
- Those with over five provinces may only purchase one province per year.
- Those over ten provinces may only purchase a province once every five years.
- Those over fifteen may not purchase lands whatsoever.
- The maximum number of provinces one character can purchase in their lifetime is five.
- Anyone seeking to actively break/exploit these limitations will be penalised.
Of course, this doesn’t apply to the buying and selling of lands among player characters, which may be done so freely, but of course will still be monitored by moderation.
Remember, starting in 1400 AD..
- Knight units no longer exist; the company system is gone as well
- There is no more equipment, weapons, or armor - it's gone.
- New battle system; battle trait is now split into four different traits; characters should split their +battle bonuses into these
Unfortunately the game is being put on hold, for the time being, due to real life constraints afflicting both players and moderation.
Quick progress update...
Rules should be finished today, and then a signup thread put up, which people can start registering characters in. Game start will be either the 5th or 6th of August, with the introductory events being the King's death and the events that follow on from that.
Overextension
Ireland Income Change
Starting event will likely go up today, which means the game will officially begin. You can all reply there/start your own threads or whatever from that point. Try not to have too much fun.
Also, concerning incomes and buildings:
All characters save the Crown will start with a full one year's worth of income.
For every three buildings that were constructed last game a free tier I building may be claimed this time round.

See the new building system for economic changes.
Also, regional bonuses have been updated to accommodate this.
Income traits now apply to each province rather than the total income. Instead of 5% of the total extra, it's 5% of the province extra, applied to each province.
From henceforth, only 500 points worth of men are able to be recruited per IRL day from the barracks thread. Not an ideal solution, but one in place to solve the issues of huge armies simply spawning over a six hour period.

1484 has been extended into two 6 month weeks as opposed to one week being a full year. Collect incomes today as normal, asset rolls and so forth will also be done again. This measure is to simply slow down the speed of the game which, up till now, has been outpacing the speed at which events are taking place due to players being busy.
Game begins tomorrow. Two events will be put up when I get home from work dealing with the immediate aftermath of Bannockburn, namely those who have been captured and the King's confrontation with the Ordainers.
Players (save the King) start with a year of unmodified land income.
