    Default Positions of the Armies

Use this thread to detail the forces of Armies within the Realm, as well as to post movements. Please be specific with movements. If you lack detail, the shortest distance by simply drawing a straight line will be assumed. Post any additions to your forces other than your original levy. Total army sizes should be kept track of within home threads.

    Movement Map

    Color Code
    Red - England
    Yellow - Scotland
Dark Green - Irish Lords of Ulster
Light Green - Irish Lords of Leinster
Light Grey - Irish Lords of Meath
Burgundy Red - Irish Lords of Munster
Dark Blue - Irish Lords of Connaught

    Guidelines to Movement of Armies

    - Each hex has a different time value due to the presence of various terrain.
--> Moving through any province (outside of Wales and Ireland) is 30 mins
--> Moving through Wales is 45 mins per province
--> Moving through Ireland is 40 mins per province

    - After a battle or raid, an army must remain stationary for 6 RL hours.
    - After a battle or raid, a retreating army returns to the nearest friendly keep or back to where they marched from. They cannot move for 6 RL hours afterwards.

    Post in this thread detailing:
    - A rough outline of your route plan (eg moving from London to York)
    - The troops you are moving
    - The time it will take in total
    - The rough arrival time

Be aware of the following guidelines
Knave (Shire levies) (Tier 1) troops are quickly raised troops (6 hours) and comprised mostly of archers with a light presence of footmen (75% archers, 25% footmen).

Yeomen (Tier 2) troops are where the bulk of the heavier and better quality troops lie. They are comprised of hired troops.

Noble (Tier 1) troops is comprised entirely of heavy cavalry and their number is based on the wealth of their employer/rank.

Due to the circumstances (lack of any authority/claim to authority or kingship and being a traitor against the crown), Arundel basically has to roll a perfect 20 to levy the provinces.

Perfensea and Hambleton turn out for Arundel, providing 100 and 20 men, respectively. The rest do not respond to his calls for levy.

    REBEL ORDERS

    Arundel's forces
The main army heads for Bridport.
    8 hours 30 mins.

As they pass through Dorchester, they deploy 150 Hobelars and 100 Yeoman Footmen to raid the region.

Once raiding has been completed, they will rejoin the main army in Bridport.

    Special Orders:
The raiding forces take special care to let news of an army reach London.
The main army deploys scouts to serve as look outs in Sherbourne and Sturminster - to alert the main host when a Royalist army passes through.

    Levy Forces

The Levy marches to Lewes and raids the region, allowing news to filter back to the Duke of Lancaster.

Confident: This character is very self-assured, brimming with confidence and difficult to shake even under pressure. - Amiable: This character is a pleasant person who tries very hard to get along with everyone s/he meets. Indeed, perhaps too hard, at that...they also tend to excessively seek validation from others, and at worst can be described as clingy ticks. +1 to AI reaction rolls, -1 to duel rolls.

Same for Montagu (gathered at Salisbury)

Sociable: This character is an extroverted social butterfly, capable of making friends left and right. - Empathic: This character is strongly attuned to the emotions of others and cares for them, making them great friends or kinsmen to have - but poor warriors and generals. +2 to AI reaction rolls, -1 to battle/joust/duel rolls.
    - Impulsive: This character acts before (sometimes, without) thinking. They might move and decide more quickly than others, but their recklessness can lead them to disaster as well. +5% movement speed, -1 to detection rolls.
    Neville - 14 provinces
    5, 4, 10, 9, 4, 5, 10, 1, 10, 9, 10, 8, 3, 1

Neville gains 890 men (668 Levy Archers, 222 Levy Footmen)

    Montagu - 19 provinces
    7, 8, 8, 5, 9, 8, 3, 4, 3, 4, 8, 5, 10, 6, 4, 2, 9, 1, 3

Montagu gains 1,070 men (803 Levy Archers, 267 Levy Footmen)

Remember its £3 per man for levy maintenance costs

The Neville Host marches to Alnwick (3,5) hours. (this being done while assuming levies have been called)

The Montagu Host marches from Salisbury to London. (5) hours (also assuming levies have been done)
