    Default unit_stat_bonus_ammunition does not take effect

    Hi,

    I'm pretty sure this eguipment bonus for units worked in vanilla (gives them extra ammo) for example via "rom_building_unit_equipment_ammo_bronze"

    I added this from Vanilla to my DeI -mod (effect_bonus_value_unit_class_junction)




    But this was missing (effect_bonus_value_unit_category_junction)



    So I added it up. However, something seems to be missing because still no uppgrade bonus for ammo is available. I'm not sure if the developers have erased this bonus from the 1.2 mod or am I just barking up the wrong tree

    Is there any suggestions how this could be fixed?

    Yes, I've added also "rom_building_unit_equipment_armour_bronze" and "rom_building_unit_equipment_weapon_bronze" and they work fine but "rom_building_unit_equipment_ammo_bronze" does not work.... and bonus for shields does not either... what is happening here?

    And you gave them the right values? I am not sure, but however the effect is used in vanilla should work in DeI unless the effect bonus value itself is bugged. You shouldnt need to use both bonus value tables though

    Also check the effect scope in building_effects_junction. I don't think in_all_your_provinces works for this effect. You have to change the scope to one that affects armies in all your provinces, something like that.

    Hi, I'm not sure what kind of scope you mean by this "scope to one that affects armies in all your provinces" but I got the point I further tested used these scopes
    - this_province
    -in_all_your_armies

    I'm pretty familiar with effect_scopes and I've created few of my owns before aswell but it did not work/take effect. "rom_building_unit_equipment_ammo_bronze" should work on both upon recruitment and as an uppgrade but it didn't even work on simple this_province scale... At this point I'm pretty sure this problem is not related to effect_scopes

    Now that I at my PC maybe I can help a bit more -

    The effect scope in all your provinces works for the other equipment types I believe - so it should work for this one, in theory.

    This effect is already present in vanilla so you shouldn't need to add it to any tables in DeI. So, try removing any bonus values you added. The effect is setup to already affect missile units. Next, assign the effects like this:
    bronze, this_province or all_your_provinces (depending on which you want), 10 value
    silver, same scope, 20 value
    gold, same scope 40 value

    Thats how its setup in vanilla, so in theory it should work the same way.

    OK, I did just like you adviced and got some progress! I got "rom_building_unit_equipment_shields_bronze" working... but, no effect for ammo.

    Made an interesting discovery: When I got to global bonus on weapons to level two, then shields level 1 unlocks.

    Maybe something is really messed in some table, I have to test further. I'll be back as soon as I know something that might help

    Figured it out campaign_unit_stat_bonuses includes thresholds for these uppgrades but I didn't understand that they come from vanilla, not from DeI, thats why I had to include them in my DeI mod... if the threshold is too high versus your bonus number, the bonus does not show... Thanks again for everyone involved!
