- Temporarily disabled an unit that caused CTD
EuE's Cairo Janissaries caused a CTD reported by users. After investigation, I was unable to find the cause of this so have disabled that unit temporarily.
Please note that there is still another Cairo Janissary unit enabled and working as intended.
- Building Rebalance
Buildings were generally rebalanced:
=>
Military Docks have now more recruitment space, to incentivize building them, since other docks can also produce decent ships.
=>
Ordinance factories now increase GPD slightly to represent the presence of industry within the confines of the main city in the province.
=>
Royal / Imperial buildings now allow for the recruitment of 1 gentleman, in order to allow minor factions to steal technology more effectively. This also makes sense, as one would believe that the Royal Palace would hold educated intellectuals.
=>
Museums / Observatories now increase research rate slightly. As such, their only role is not increasing happiness slightly.
- Technology Rebalance
Some technologies that were too powerful were nerfed. Other technologies that were too weak were improved.
Overall, most technologies must be more useful to research. I recommend taking a second look at all technologies you have
- Campaign Map Rebalance
The GDP of some factions has been increased. Most notably France in order to avoid it being easily conquered by the United Provinces.
- Population Rebalance / More late-game garrisons
The population system has been edited. Now the population of towns should increase more steadily, even as a baseline. Technologies further increase that growth, at a notable level.
For balance purposes, it takes more population growth for new towns to emerge as a result.
This increase of overall population should generate bigger garrisons in the late-game, making late game sieges more difficult.
- Improved the accuracy of Elite Units
This should make Elite Units a bit better, and more distinctive compared to Line Infantry. (+5 Accuracy)
- Improved the impact effects of musketfire
I really like this new effect. It makes it much more apparent that a unit is under gunfire!
