Ser Edmund Karstark reported to the army as was required of him. He did not wear Karstark colours or the sigil, instead wearing plain armour and a green tabard with the Tyrell rose on the left breast, signalling he was a Tyrell man-at-arms. Those who knew him knew his name, but to any passerby he was one of any number of armsmen in the Tyrell army.

As the Florents and Hightowers arrived, Mace called forth the arriving commanders to join him in his main tent. All that was unaccounted for were the Redwynes, but Lord Tyrell knew they would be arriving soon enough.

When the commanders arrived, Mace Tyrell tossed several pieces of parchment upon his table, signed by the Lords of the Shield Isles, Lord Caswell and Lord Merryweather. The contents had clearly angered Mace.

Damn these cowards and their excuses! How dare they deprive the royalist army of vital troops that could be used! Bah! I will let them gain no rewards for their cowardice!!

Once he noticed the commanders were in the room, Mace changed his tone immediately, adjusting his collar slightly.

Gentlemen, we only await the arrival of the Redwynes. Once they do, we will begin moving our troops to aid His Grace, King Aerys, the Second of His Name, in putting down these errant rebels!

Garth nodded, preferring to remain muted on such matters - his opinion on Aerys only voiced in the presence of close family members. The honour of House Hightower and their oath to Highgarden demanded that they march, and that was enough for him.

    "Where do we march, Lord?"
Hightower finally questioned after a lengthy pause for thought. Storm's End itself would be a great prize, but would prove extremely difficult to take. On the other hand, everything north of Darry was rebel country, with Arryn, Tully and Stark all surely marching south at some point.

I intend for our forces to head for the Stormlands to crush Baratheon in his homeland. Then we can invest a sizable portion of our troops into Storm's End and move another force north to join the Crown Prince Rhaegar. There are surely those among the Royalist cause in the Stormlands that we can link up with. We must crush these Stormlanders where they stand, for without the forces of his homeland, Baratheon is nothing.

It was a bold plan and a plan without any thought in the possibilities as Mace was a blundering oaf that only lusted for victory and fame.

'My lord, are you sure it is wise to march for his grace Aerys?', Florent spoke with an unsure voice.
Mace turns his gaze upon the young Florent. He forgave him for his youth, biting his tongue from offending a member of House Florent. He turns and points to the Golden Rose, the sigil of his household.

That standard exists because of the Targaryens, Ser Florent. It was the same Targaryens that rose my ancestors from Stewards to Lord Paramounts and continued to favor us ever since. My ancestors have fought alongside the Dragons many times; against all pretenders, whether they were family or bastards. To show our loyalty to House Targaryen will only bring further favors to the Reach, Ser Florent.

Need not worry, good brother, for we have the full might of the Reach with us! Your contribution will go a long way to aid us.

Mace then repeats to Paxter the strategy told to Ser Garth in how they will break the Stormland's might once and for all.

"Good, let battle be met. It is obvious to me that the execution of the Starks served as but a pretense for all these kingdoms to rebel in their own right. We must aid the king in suppressing such a violation of the King's Peace." Paxter added sycophantically. "Let us give the Stormlanders something to complain about."

Horas Redwyne, Garth Greysteel's page, came forward at his father's arrival. "Father!" he said, it had been two years since the two had parted ways at the Arbor. The young man ran forward to embrace Paxter. After the embrace was broken, Paxter mused at his son's height. "Well, well, you've grown quite a bit! I hope you've been paying close attention to your schooling under Ser Garth. In a few years time you will be doing more than minding his equipment, you will be fighting." Paxter explained.

"Yes, I have been taught lots of things!" Horas said with a heavy lisp. "Riding and archery and how to wield a sword." he said enthusiastically.

Paxter turned to Garth "I am glad to hear his training has been coming along well. You have my thanks, ser."

Mace slams his fist upon the table, not angrily, but with enthusiasm.

Then let us march for Summerhall and the gateway to the Stormlands! Let us bring this rebel to his knees and gain the fruits of Targaryen favor!!

With that said, Mace gave command of a second host to Lord Paxter Redwyne with some commanders while taking the vanguard host with him.

Greysteel inclined his head to Lord Redwyne. Horas, despite his appearance suggesting otherwise, showed some promise in the martial arts.

"Your son shows promise, my lord."
Garth merely replied. "Though battle is the true trial that we soon face."

Garth executed a curt bow from the waist, before moving off to prepare his men for the imminent march to Summerhall.

The Florent's eye twitched slightly as Mace spoke about the Targaryens rising Tyrells to Highgarden. This Florent knew history very well. He knew how Aegon the Conqueror usurped Highgarden from the line of Florents. Such was the injustice of Targaryens.

'Yes, my lord, I too support the Targaryens as a dynasty with the right to rule the Seven Kingdoms. But Aerys the Second is not the only Targaryen. Rumour has it he is a mad man and to prove it he has burned the Lord of Winterfell and his heir. We as lords of the Reach can not support this injustice. Has the Reach not always been a place of chivalry and honour, lord Tyrell?'

"And would it not be against our morals of honor and chivalry to turn against the anointed Lord of the Seven Kingdoms? To turn our allegiance to rebellion spats in the face of these very principles, Ser Florent! The Reach will support the Crown as we always have before."

Mace got a little irritated with the questions made by the young Florent. He understood his youth, but this ignorance and readiness to abandon the King disturbed him greatly.

"What are we to do, my Lord?" Paxter asked, assuming loyalty to the King. "Have we heard anything from Prince Rhaegar or the King? Might be wise to invade the Stormlands and root out one nest of rebels."

Word comes from Red Lake that a Westerlands army has laid siege to the castle. In addition, Clegane banners have been reported ravaging Coldmoat, and Lefford banners at Standfast.

The Highgarden army, led by Lord Oakheart, along with some Tyrell cousins, move to intercept the army at Red Lake.

    Timestamped for 3 AM.

A raven arrives bearing ill news from the Reach. Mace throws a fit at the word that Lord Oakheart failed to defeat the army that had ravaged Old Oak. With this dire news, a raven is sent to Paxter Redwyne in Blackhaven, the main Reach army, under Mace Tyrell, was to fall back for the Reach to deter this Westerland menace. Mace ordered Paxter to finish up his business at Blackhaven before marching upon Summerhall and continue his advance from there into the Stormlands. Mace's army planned to retreat to Longtable and coordinate with the forces at Highgarden from there.

"I hear rumours of regal ambitions among your House. Highgarden has long been loyal to the Targaryens, but my sources may have credibility. Prove your loyalty, Lord Mace: strike at the rebels in the Riverlands and the Reach shall have lands from the traitors in the Stormlands and Westerlands when the rebels are brought to heel."
