Alive in Jonburg

I came across it when I was browsing another site. I'm trying to wrap my head around it, because the concept is simply really weird. It's by Neill Blomkamp, who apparently will be directing the Halo Movie, and what this film does is almost do a sci fi spin on Apartheid in South Africa, depicting aliens being discriminated against by whites and blacks instead of blacks being discriminated by whites.

What I drew from it was that the use of the alien was to draw a more physical and visual reference to how alien we consider those who are not of our 'tribe' to be, and apparently they may have been used to depict that any race can be responsible for racism (As the blacks are the primary discriminators against the aliens).

Hey cool, I live here. Minus the aliens of course. Definitely very weird though. And a bit too transparent IMO. Also a bit of an old subject since the 'aliens' got their way in 1994 already.
