Thread: Intellectual trait question

    Default Intellectual trait question

Gentleman, fellow gamers i've tried to increase my general's intellectual trait in every...single...one...of my campaigns and it never ever went above Erudite despite all my efforts/Starting traits/Academies/age.
From age of 16 coming of age i had them sitting in a city with capped 100 PO with everything set for them and it always ends up having 1 less army that i could field trying to beat DEI on very hard.
Any1 has some insight on what else can be done for the sake of Governors so they could become Socrates's toes? (atleast)

Sounds like a bug, if you have them sitting in an academy and they never increase. Have you tried sending them off for tutoring before they come of age too?

Yes, pretty much all children is sent off in the midgame where i usually play a defensive game to build insane economy, that is when i try to educate sons but it just does not work for me.

The trait also requires skills from non-combat branches to be picked. Base + one advanced skill from each branch, if I remember correctly, - 4 skill slots in total.

Those generals are well leveled being governors since coming of age with said traits they specialize in and the region needs, the only thing i might try is the IV. version of the akademia building and send those generals into the maxed building i always tried it with II/III lvl buildings before, if this doesnt work i dont know what else can be done

I also noticed that the first Governor trait "Capable Bureaucrat" has construction decrease effect but i compared the prices before and after learning the trait and it actually does not change the cost at all, maybe this has to do smth with the trait not working properly preventing the intellectual trait to be increased in some way, just something i noticed.
