    If you cancel recruitment, population goes back to you next turn.

    the naval port of carthage doesnt give any garrison units?. Is it a feature or a bug because i noticed there is a special chain for the carthage main city

    Did you capture it as a foreign power? I think they don't get naval garrisons in special ports.

    I'm not quite sure if this is the right place for my problem which is the following:
    I am running the latest version of R2TW Emperor Edition on a bootcamp partition with Windows 10 through Steam
    Vanilla Rome works like charm and DeI works even better and smoother except for 1 problem:
    Whenever I try to save the game it looks like it's minimizing the game and crashes/freezes, task manager also says 'not responding'
    This also happens immediately after ending a turn (also while auto-saving is my best guess?)
    If did a clean install like 5 times already (also with patch 17 but then vanilla won't even work)
    So I tries it with and without DeI submods but no luck so far. I have 10GB of free space.

    I've been googlin' my *** off but cannot find anything closely related to this problem.
    Something obvious I've been ignoring?

    Tried the standalone version and steam version of DeI also btw..

    any clues?

    Thanks in advance, hopefully I get this to work, what you've accomplished with this mod is simply stunning.

    Weird. Only advice I have is to check the data folder for other mods, perhaps some are still active. You can also try the old launcher (release candidate launcher beta option)

    err..., of course, reached the first reforms, Marian, this is why I could recruit them, now just looked and it is blank, as you can see... Ive har the reforms for a while, I've not recruited in some time so I didn't notice this until now.

    But the cohors prima and the capite censi are not blanked out, also you're not showing a screenshot of your actual recruitment options so I can't see it. The marian is also the 2nd reform ofc. Did the recruiment options gets removed when you lost a region?

    I don't know all I know is that if you look at the unlock pic for tech, you will see it is missing a whole load of text that was there, the pics also show you the composition of my armies that were able to recruit those... I have whole regions in Gaul with legion barracks but I have the same problem...unable to recruit, the first reforms ar the polibian, not Marian, the second is Marian, the third, as I remember, are Augustan. So not quite sure what has happened since then... very odd. And yes I know that are not blanked, as they were recruitable, very odd...

    after moving the three DEI main files up in the mod steam manager, i can now recruit them, but im still wondering about the lack of text in the tech unlock under reforms, ist still blank?

    That's the strangest thing I've ever seen, have you tried saving, restarting and reloading your save a few times? Sometimes that fixes missing reform units.

    Thanks, dardo il check soon see if the text returns, what I've noticed is if I click on a region or settlement no information comes up as it did before, its just blank, and I don't get a script message where it goes into the history of the settlement?

    I am playing as Syracuse but I cannot recruit dart slingers or crossbowman. I have a level 3 capital building and all. I'm not sure if they bugged out or what.

    Dart slingers are in Macedon now instead of Syracuse as they were historically. I believe Syracuse now has their own version of the crossbow unit.

    The ancillaries "mastersmith" (+4% armor) and "battlefield runner" (+1 authority when leading armies) are assigned to the "civilian advisor" slot. Think they should be part of the "military advisor" one since they provide bonus for battles/units.

    hey guys, just noticed the Averni kingetoi shield wall is kinda odd. the first 3 rows dont use their spears but have their swords out instead, the 3 back rows do have their spears however. Same goes for the early Argoi.
    The late kingetoi dont seem to do this however and have a normal looking spear shield wall.

    I presume this is a bug? is there an easy fix that i could just do myself for now?

    Edit: just whent into the files. the early kingetor use the "rome_man_spear_shield_barb_wall_elite" animation and the "hoplite_medium" man entity.
    The "Late uses rome_man_hoplite_spear_sword_hybrid" and the wall_heavy man entity.

    I changed the both to the late animations, i have no idea of this effects their combat effectiveness in anyway however?
