The Crimean Ulans could be added in tier 3
Crimean oglan
I would suggest as medium horse archers and lancers the mongol Darkhan similar to the Turkic Tarkhan

Also the Tartar Oglan or Uhlan the source for the future European Ulans. Some would state thate there were also Tartar Hussar troops.

I hope the horse archers have good melee stats, as they were also deadly with a sword. Also there composite bow was known to have greater range then long bows of the time. There Range, Missile Damage and Rate of Fire should be higher than everyone else's as well as there morale.
But been thinking about the campaign aspects of the Mongols and I hope there campaign movement range is a significant advantage for them as they could travel up to 100 miles per day. And also they wouldn't bring there siege equipment with them everywhere, they would build it on site, so I really hope the siege units don't limit the armies movement range on campaign map, either by making them extremely cheap to recruit or upping there campaign movement range to the same number as horses
Few little suggestions on tweaks you could do their early era unit textures:
1. For all of them, change the boots they wear to the curved-tipped ones. I've seen Cuman units with them and am confused as to why the Mongolian units dont have them as well.
2. Make some of the Light Horse Archers have no moustaches/beards. As of now i've noticed that the heavy lancer units have some troopers with moustaches and some without, and yet all of the horse arches have moustaches without exception.
3. Sprinkle some more colors into the robes that the light horse archers wear. Right now they only have brown, white, and tan. I think adding some dull red, blue, or green robes in would look a bit more realistic. In addition, give them some belts.
4. For the heavy cavalry, give some of their banner-bearers the black Tug banners (the war banners made from yak-hair or horse-hair).
Furthermore, Im not sure if its even possible, but I think changing from a horn sound to a loud steady kettle-drum sound to announce the lancer charges would be really cool and historically accurate. Also, as I previously mentioned, giving them both medium horse archers and lancer units would diversify their roster a bit.
Just realised... the Bordini of Bordinia are a must for your faction...

Not really....the Golden Horde occasionally raided the Balkans but I am neither aware of significant balkan elements in Golden Horde armies nor the Vlachs specifically. Plus, I don't even know who the Bordini are besides some mess of post-Tauri slavicized scythian romance nomad...people?
Adding the Vlachs to the Golden Horde runs into the same problems as adding the Poles or Lithuanians. Intermittent raiding, some invasions. Thats as much as I am aware of.
-- I should add, the citation associated with the Golden Horde doesn't lead to any actual source. The formatting of the page is broken. Not to mention, i'm not trusting The World Heritage Encyclopedia. And, why are Vlachs and Bordini synonymous?

Under the Patronage of PikeStance
If that's all we know than we don't know if they were a regular part of Golden Horde armies, therefore they aren't a "must" in the roster.
Minor involvement in the Battle of the Kalka river does not qualify them as a vital part of the roster. I reviewed my translation of the Chronicles of Novgorod for the years 1223 - 24 and I found mention of the Voivode Ploskyna, but nothing on the Brodniki. Regardless, they didn't even fight in the battle it seems, only turned over the Kievan leadership to the Mongols after it had mostly ended. I can't find Ploskyna mentioned anywere in the actual description of the battle itself.
-- EDIT --
For reference, here is the excerpt:
"And there were there men in armour with the Tartars and VoyevodaPloskyna;
and this accursed Voyevoda, having kissed the honourableCross to Mstislav and to both the Knyazes not to kill them,
but tolet them go on ransom, lied, accursed one; he delivered them boundto the Tartars, and they took the stockade and slaughtered thepeople, and there they fell dead."

I definitely disagree with adding vlachs to the Golden Horde. They may have done some raiding together at one point but many people have, that would warrant adding every single ethnic group from hungary to russia into the roster of the horde. And we don't exactly know who the Bordini were, they could have been vlachs, they could have been slavs, a mixed slavo-vlach group etc.
I'd also suggest that if youre going to update the skins for the Mongol units you give some of both the early and late era light horse archers the new furry pointy hats that the new Hungarian horse archers have, as well as simmilar robes.![]()
I meant Makuria/Nubia not Zagwe/Abyssinia/Aethiopia sorry.
