Campaign does not start

Hi!
I have installed and then multiple times reinstalled the 2.2f and when I try starting a campaign nothing happens. Or better: I press "Start" and the game freezes (doesn't CTD tho)(Also happens when I try to start custom or historical battles). I have tried starting campaigns on 2.2b and everything is fine. I really have no idea of what causes this. Would you please help?

I am also quite sorry if this issue has already been dealt with somwhere in the Forum. But I did not manage to find anything similar.

That's just game rebuilding map.rwm file. It will take several minutes, maybe even 10 or so, depending on your system.

Just to make sure you won't be running a corrupted version of file (which might happen if you forced termination of program during file rebuilding), go to EBII directory, subdirectory data\world\maps\base, find and delete map.rwm there. Start the game again, go get a coffee or something, and just wait through slow first start and then slow loading of first campaign.

The game never freezes on first campaign generation that I've seen. It's generating the new map, as Sar1n said. Don't interrupt it, or you'll corrupt the map and have to start again. It only has to do this the first time, just be patient.

What's your system, and are you using Large Address Aware? EBII kinda strains the limits of the engine, and is therefore prone to memory leaks.

Did you follow the instructions and move your installation outside of the default in Program Files?
