    Default What are the advantages of becoming pope?

    i've just become pope, but so far there seems to be no added benefits - are there, and if so what are they?

    The only benefit you get by one of your ex-cardinals being pope is a perfect relation to the papal states, but that's it. He will even excommunicate you, if you make him unhappy by attacking catholics.
