    Default Your favorite submod?

So i've been playing divide and conqueror campaign but i havn't tried many of the other mods. I was looking to hear your opinions about mods such as MOS and other ones and how they compare to Divide and Conqueror

Divide and Conquer is by far my favourite, tho MOS is good aswell in different ways. Tho MOS also has DaC's campaign map included, so i'm not sure how well the balance works out there.

MOS focus on custom submods. When you start a campaign you get the option to activate or declined a multitude of different submods, such as good counter-invasions, additional evil or good forces, reforging Elven kingdoms, Immortal Heroes & Nazgul, ability to ressurrect allies, begin with Arnor reforged etc etc, varying on faction played.

FRoGS is an inbetweener in style between MOS and DaC, more or less.

Alternative Patch is closest to TATW, but more polished, and with all the settlements, naturally.

Ennor Dagor/PCP has beast and/in spectacular factions, such as dragons, spiders, but also with many diverse normal factions, an (IIRC) different map [both MOS & DaC uses the so called DaC-map] and own script works. Being a projects of its own for many years it's the most diverse experience.

Personally my favourite is WSC, a smaller submod compilation that maintain TATW balance but come with the script content like Total Diplomacy I am interested in.

Now, it really boils down to what kind of features you're interested in. Since it's really a matter of taste, so why not install them and decide yourself? http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...erent-submods)

Although I've never tried PCP, I feel like MOS is still the best experience. To me, FRoGS is kind of like MOS-lite and Divide and Conquer, while still recent compared to the others, still needs some polishing up and some balancing.

MOS really has the most replay value with the different customization of campaigns as well as how the AI expands. There's a reason the "Who am I?" thread is mostly MOS instead of Divide and Conquer, DaC can get predictable after you've played more than a handful of campaigns. MOS, on the other hand, will usually have different outcomes. You may get less factions and units, but I think they're a bit more balanced than DaC.

That being said, you should still try them all, especially DaC. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into that submod and there are great faction overviews on Youtube. While MOS is sort of like TATW - Platinum Edition, DaC is almost an entirely different game.

Don't sweat it. It's Ngugi who made the suggestion anyway (and who has the link in his sig to begin with, which I also did not spot right away).
