How do I add the Lore of Shadows to the Waystalker?

Hey guys, sorry for the simplistic question, but I've never modded anything before and I'm a little hesitant to start muddling around without being certain what I'm doing. I've watched parts of Magnar's guides and read through the tutorial on this site, and while I get aspects of editing the tables, it's still sort of Greek to me.

I have PFM and the Assembly Kit installed, so is it as simple as going into the unit tables in one of those and adding a line enabling the Waystalker hero to cast the lore of shadows? And if I did that, would it show up as a skill in the campaign seamlessly, or would I need to do something more?

The following will apply for all iterations of the unit (on foot, mounted on horse, mounted on dragon, w/e):

main_units: Set entries for ui_unit_group_land and ui_unit_group_naval to: wizard_shadows.

battle_set_piece_armies_characters: Set entry for magic_lore to wh_dlc05_lore_shadows.

agent_subtypes: Set entry for small_icon to ui/campaign ui/agents/wh_dlc05_lore_shadow.png (this is optional).

special_ability_groups_to_units_junctions: Set entry for ability_group to wh_dlc05_lore_shadows.

I think that's everything.

So I'm still stupid: I edited those tables in the Assembly Kit, and I'm trying to like export or implement it so that it shows up in game but I have no clue what I'm doing haha. (FYI I also changed the Waystalker's caster designation to True -- it was under one of the categories you mentioned)

I'm sure this is like explicitly stated in one of the tutorials, so thanks for humoring me

If you are using Assembly Kit, then you'll Export All Changes (or you can select individual tables, which can be useful if you are working on a large mod). Once exported go to \Total War WARHAMMER\assembly_kit\binaries and run BOB.AssemblyKit.exe. In the middle column, check campaign, and in the pop-up choose main_warhammer in the top and pack/create pack on the bottom. This will place your mod into \Total War WARHAMMER\assembly_kit\retail. Copy\move that into your \Total War WARHAMMER\data folder. Run TW:W and enable out of date mods, then enable your mod.

Dude it worked. It took me a couple of tries because I think I missed a step my first try haha, but thanks to you I modded a game for the first time ever in literally the only way I've ever wanted to. I'm thrilled! Thanks so much.
