Re-adding backpacks to infantry?

After a bit of research, I've found that apparently the file I'll need to edit to re-add backpacks to infantry is

DME_UnitsPack.pack -> db -> warscape_equipment_items_tables -> warscape_equipment_items

as that's where entries such as "euro_infantry_backpack" have been removed. For some reason Pack File Manager keeps pulling a "System.NullReferenceException" error, with the note of "Object reference not set to an instance of an object," any time I try to open up the table, and DB Editor similarly hits an unhandled exception if I try to add a column to the table.

Simply deleting the equipment items table isn't an option, as the vanilla tables are missing quite a few of the equipment items added by Darthmod and used by many of its units.

Has anyone else looked into this, and maybe found something out that might be of assistance here?
