    Icon5 Navies

I have next to zero modding experience in Attila and I was wondering how hard is it going to be to add naval units? How much liberty is given when it comes to not just the models, but the skeletons of the ships?

Look around in these forums and you might find something surprising.

Awww, everyone forgot the old thread:

Well, simply put I know how to port the ships' "skeletons" (models_naval) from older games (Shogun 2, ETW/NTW) into Attila (this was my ticket to the team actually). However, I don't have the expertise to port nor create the "flesh and skins" (rigid_model_v2)

These would give you some idea on how the Ultimate, Late-Era, End-of-the-Tech-Tree ship would be.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Its an invisible boat because...its not "fleshed", so to speak in layman's term. Creating the "skin" would be Slytacular's task, and Warman would rig it to the "skeleton". But functionally its already a working ship, can board, can be boarded, can shoot, can be shot at, can land, can be burned, and can sink.

The cannons on the forecastle should be swivel guns though, but well, its still not completed yet.

Surely, not every Medieval European and Middle-Eastern ship can be suitably built around Japanese 16th and European 18-19th Century Ships; this is where Causeless comes in. He's currently working together with Mr. Jox, Rise of Mordor's Team Leader, to create plugins and tools for creating new ship "skeletons" (logic.xml)

Wow, that's awesome man! It's honestly amazing to see just how much you all can do in the game. And as you said older molders can ported in(And I know this isn't your forte, more ArtStudios) could buildings from the older games be put in? Like the Ottoman settlements?
