Default Copying a M2 installation to a new windows install?

I'm playing a mod for M2TW, but lately the game has been locking up in battles, forcing me to restart the game or my PC. I want to try and reinstall my entire windows 7 to fix it, since other games have been crashing too.

Now my question is, how do I safely copy M2TW to my external HD and put it back on the new windows installation? Which folders do I need to copy to keep my saved campaign for the mod I'm playing? Or can I do a clean install and copy the mod and saves over somehow?

If you're only interested in the saves from mods (and not the main game), you should be able to locate them at the following:

    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\*NAME_OF_MOD*\saves

It should be as simple as dropping those files into the same file path once you've reinstalled everything (including the mod, obviously).

Yeah thanks man, I've figured it out. Just reinstalling the game and then dropping in the mod folder works just fine and I keep my saves.
