I'm running into this same problem mentioned earlier:Any word on a new update? When I tried to use this to open the Steam Tank hull model (emp_steam_tank01.rigid_model_v2) the program give me a msg "Could not read the file from disk. Original error:Value was either too large or too small for a Decimal."
Here you go:
emp_steam_tank01.zip
So it seems like this file is from empire total war, am I right?
p.s. sorry for late reply, I'm available on steam for much quicker conversations if you want. Or you could just PM me.
Would be awesome if you could make this work for Shogun2. Would really appreciate it :p
This is such a cool tool. Thanks for your efforts.
I'm get this error when I try to use it to import a file from TW Warhammer:
"---------------------------Error 0x05!
---------------------------
Could not read file from disk. Original error: Value was either too large or too small for a Decimal.

"

I believe you can only export with this tool.
To import you would need 3ds max.

Collada is a dae file format which is as universal as fbx and obj and can be opened with any 3d editor.
Appreciate the hard work this took, for awhile UU3D was a kind of pay-block for anyone wanting to import anything new (I ended up buying it and it's a pretty good program so no complaints here).
Do you plan, or believe it's possible at all, to make it so you can convert -to- RMV2, not just from? I used to have 3dsmax 2014 before my student trial ran out. Thankfully the only stuff I wanted to edit was going to be a little bit here and there so I can accept the inability to do so, but I don't know how many people have 3dsmax 2009-2014 still. If it'd be possible to convert to RMV2 it would cut out the middle man of having to use 3dsmax.
3DMax displays this error:
"While reading or writing a file the following notifications have been raised.
-Warning: Meter conversion factor is too small or invalid: 0.025400. Using 1 instead.
-Warning: TEXCOORD not supported in vertices input
-ERROR: reading array in <source>: #3c_italic_h_helmet_lod1Controller-Matrices
-ERROR: Unable to parse xml/dae file"
Maybe I something doing wrong?
@Ahiga, yeah it's possible but I don't think it will be bug free and short-term development.
@asterion, can you tell me if this happens only to one particular file? What version of 3ds max do you use? Did you try to do that in other software: maya/blender?
It dosen't seem to have UV's
