Come this Friday an Ancient Empires Tournament will be held until the 1st of December. Players will compete to become the top three prize winning finalists in an event hosted by Gamersville and commented and contributed towards by many other Total War YouTubers. Haxo, Inco and hopefully Warrior of Sparta himself will take some time out of their busy schedules to provide commentary for the matches played by the participants.
Entrance to the tourney will be open until the 22nd of November, and we would ask for a small donation for those taking part in an effort to pay towards the prize fund which will consist of DLC codes, Ancient Empires Posters designed by myself and (to be finalised) other Total War YouTuber merchandise.
The battles will be a simple ladder match, with the first battles being 2v2, then preceded by 1v1 matches, with the final 2 players participating in a tug of war match. To explain this, a tug of war match is the best of three battles, with the first being a land battle, the winner of which will assault the loser in a siege match. If no clear winner is shown then the original winner of the land battle will go on to defend in a siege.
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST PROVIDE WORKING REPLAYS OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
This means you must start the battle before deploying.
The Rules
The rules for standard matches are as follows:
- large unit sizes (thats roughly 180 men per unit)
- large funds
- no elephants or wardogs, simply for balance purposes.
The rules for the finale, tug of war match are as follows:
- Large unit sizes (thats roughly 180 men per unit)
- Huge funds.
- No elephants or wardogs, simply for balance purposes.
- The armies chosen must be used in all three matches (should you require more than two).
