Thread: Mods can be used with R2TR 3.0

  1. #1

Default Mods can be used with R2TR 3.0

Remember any unit mod will not be good with R2TR 3.0. Here are some mods I'm using with R2TR 3.0 to have better fun:
    1/ R2TR I Musica - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=277008935
    2/ R2TR II Musica - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=319598876
3/ More General variation: Iberian Generals - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=249607779
    4/ Christos's Suffet of Ba'al Hammon (Generals) for Carthage - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=326496215
    5/ Christos's Diádokhos Strategos (Generals) for all Hellenic factions* V2.0 - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=337977970
    6/ Bullgod-Style Unit Icons, All Completed - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=319471330
7/ Better Horses, Elephants and Dogs HQ texture v2 - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=192539590
8/ Aztec Graphics 2.1 with optional campaign mods - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=792023239

Special: The only unit mod I tested no bug until now with R2TR 3.0
    *** Ancient Generals - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=726160735 ***

    Not fully compliment:

1/ R2TR Nomina authentica - many units' names are not changed
2/ Meaningful unique province - Antioch + 25% missle dam is broken and OP
3/ People of Rome 2 (P++) - many units of Rome can't find class to recuit
    Going to test:
    - Sell your slaves (old and new version)

Bullgod icon set doesnt contain certain unit icons R2TR3 uses. plus, some icons were reworked, while vanilla icon shows something else, so you might end up having incorrect icon representation.

Mostly missing icons in Rome army and peltast. Anyone like Carthage, Iberia, Gauls, Balkan can play with full roster new icons.

Even carthaghians have modifications.. for example, there are no Carhtaginian pikemen, instead you have African Veterans (unit that can be obtained through tech upgrade - they use Roman armors, shields and weapons). Carthaginians also have Lonchophoroi units, former Lybian infantry which will also have incorrect icon... etc.

and lets not forget Mecenary Hoplites, which have different icon with Thureos instead of Aspis, i guess thats why those stats were confusing for you, as you saw similarly looking units, yet they are not in reality.

    Carthage: All icon changed
    Rome: some missing
And I see stat + name, not see icon right with equipment or not . This icon mod just make game more beautiful for me.

ive got used to them.. and now, i must say i like them more than what CA made in Attila.. even building icons are much better in R2.. they are clear and you instantly know what you are looking at.. in Attila, it sometimes takes me few minutes to guess what building it actually is...

Another type of icon is Helenika, ancient Hellenic picture style on wall or vase.

the vanilla icons in Rome 2 are really not good. look at Rome Total Realism in Rome 1, now that's perfect About missing icons, is this only that bad in custom battles or aswell in roman campaign? I wanted to use that unit card mod so bad.
