    Default Campaign Release?

Don't want to rush, i know you guys have your hands full and releasing the campaign before its truly ready isn't what i intend. But I was wondering if we could at least get some info on its progress (whats done, what needs to be done?) i know there was the update on oct 22nd that added/change some units but thats the only news we've gotten since the release of the custom battles. again thanks for all the hard work! really enjoying the factions and i don't want to rush the team!

I said this a couple days back, I'm currently working to finish off Naval battles and the Roman building chain in its entirety, once that happens I'll make sure they get showcased and shown to you guys.

Depends on the definition of soon, but I'm not sure it would be like THIS MONTH, but we'll see how it goes. Just keep your heads on straight until we can get the team back on full speed.

As my 5 year old daughter says to her 3 year old sister "You get what you get and you don't get upset"

Good luck to you guys in getting this to the finish line. I remember with DeI 1.0 we had months of work questioning if we would even get it released.

Yeah you always seem closer to finishing than you actually are xD.

Still no hint of Creative Assembly releasing any way for Rome/Attila sounds to be edited?

Rome 2 has official tools for editing the audio (I think) but Attila still doesn't because of licensing stuff with the company that made whatever program the audio runs on or something like that. There's a Persian team who said they've worked out how to edit Attila's audio anyway and a lot of people on Ancient Empires, Medieval Kingdoms and Rise of Mordor contacted them but none of us have had a reply so far.

Will likely require a download of WWise which is free especially for non-commercial projects. https://www.audiokinetic.com/download/

However I am not sure what would come after that and or how to use etc.

Ah ok yeah I see they posted vaguely:

    Tools Needed :

    1-WWise (for rome 2 )
    2-ww2ogg [Located here i believe: https://github.com/hcs64/ww2ogg ]
3-Attila total war last version(with all DLCs)
4-any music converter or editor tool for cut and edit musics

They only mentioned music though so doubt sounds can be changed

Tried mucking around with the pack files and I think I see the problem (not the solution); I managed to unpack the pack files obviously but I wanted to see if I could replace some of the sounds such as vocals etc. Using 2 - 3 different bnkextr.exe files from different sources I was only able to extract some bnk files. Any voice acting files except vocalizations I wasn't able to extract. Not sure why. Other files I managed to extract. I haven't tried creating any project files with WWISE yet (have downloaded and installed it but not sure if there's any point continuing since any mods have to replace existing content I assume). Are sounds hard coded? IE: if I created a project pack file with wem files in an audio directory can they be linked to in any way ingame if they do not use an existing sound name/ file structure? Or do you have to unpack the existing bnk, replace the sound, and create a pack with the bnk in the exact same dir etc that it was extracted from?

I am able to convert wem's to oggs etc but haven't tried to reverse the process yet though I think that probably shouldn't be a problem if using WWISE and converting the project (not sure need to read up more on it).

EDIT: ALso read the FAQ where devs stated that its not possible at the moment for sound effects but that they may bring out tools in the future.

As the chief editor of an amateur magazine for the first time this year, my project was delayed by 3 weeks even though I thought I had it locked down and set. Funny how time gets shorter as you approach the finish line
