This CTD happens in the exact same place every time: it's turn 2, I hit end turn, it sequences through the factions until one of the last factions, called Sakai or something similar, takes its turn - at that point, the game always crashes to desktop.

I have attached my error log. May also be useful to know that I am playing as Pergamon, with the version 2.2c campaign and battle AI installed. Interestingly, the Pergamon campaign worked just fine with no CTDs when I was playing 2.2b. Now that 2.2c is installed, however, it keeps crashing. So that suggests perhaps something in the update is causing this.

    I'm playing the non-Steam version
The game is installed in C/Sega/Medieval II Total War
    I have Windows 8

Did you download v2.2 from moddb, then patch the 2.2c AI update?

In which case, the problem is you have an incompatible version. You need to download 2.2b from one the the forum links, then patch.

Hi, thanks for your reply. After doing some investigating last night, it turns out you are correct. I used one of the other links and can confirm this issue is solved.

I think it would be best to update the download link. You have written:

This is a bit misleading as you've listed moddb under "EBII v2.2b" - when I clicked the moddb link, I assumed I was getting 2.2b. Probably best to remove the moddb link, since it isn't 2.2b.

    Thanks
