"Once we do this, there is no going back." Sejanus warned his friend Tiberius. "Are you sure this is what you want?"
"Fires happen all the time." Tiberius replied. "And sometimes things can't be helped." He said sullenly. The boy had been inconsolable at his father's death. The plan was simple. A fire would be started at the house of the Iulii. Once well kindled and blazing, the vigiles would seal the exits in the hopes that all within would be killed. It would be seen as a measure to contain the blaze. "Make sure to have the proper countermeasures in place, Sejanus. I won't have this fire spreading needlessly and inflicting damage upon any others, except maybe this new Sextus Savlia." He had once considered the man his friend, his father was married to his aunt after all. It was clear that friendship meant nothing to him. "Ensure the fire can't be attributed to you or any of the vigiles. Best to set it at night." he said as he prepared to depart.
Tiberius prepared for his travel to Neapolis to wait out the fire.
ooc: The plan is to set fire to the domus Iulus and kill as many as possible within the house. The fire will be set secretly at night with two cohorts of vigiles residing nearby. By my estimation, all characters within should receive a death roll if the fire is set.
