    First of all thank you for the help you give to the players of this fantastic mod. I really enjoy play it and the 2.2c update really improved the AI: now it far more realistic than the 2.2b.

    But I have an issue. While playing the Roman Campaign (around the 68th turn) when the AI arrives to the Saka Rauka the game crashes. I tryed many times to investigate the problems with the "toggle_fow" and it seems that the crash arrives precisely before the Saka Rauka turn begins. I gave a look to the log and it seems a problem with a scripted event of the Saka Rauka, but I can't understand what creates this error. Please help me or I won't be able to continue slaughtering Carthaginians.

    Can you zip the log with another format (preferably .zip), please? I can't open 7z with the tools I've got here.

    That's not a valid attachment - I can't download it.

    And before you ask, no I haven't installed it in Program Files, and I did check the file that has to say :

    to = mods/ebii/logs/eb.system.log.txt
    level = * trace

    EDIT : Tried it again, and now, for some reason, it went past the SR turn. Only to crash at the Eleutheroi turn.
    Unfortunately, without a log to diagnose, it could be absolutely anything. Have you tried changing your graphics settings?

    I tried launching through the bat file. It went even further this time, and I heard the sound the popups make when it's your turn again. It crashed before I could do anything. It did generate a log though.

    It also has less of the false-positive EDB errors than normal, which makes me suspicious about the version you're playing. Where did you get your version of EBII from? I'm hoping you haven't patched the moddb version with the updated CAI.

    Actually, I did. I'm assuming this is a problem? Should I use the torrent like instead, and then patch it with the AI improvements?

    The version on moddb is 2.2, not the latest version. The AI improvements are for 2.2b, which you can't get from moddb (because it was taken down...).

    It works like a charm. Thanks for the help. While I'm at it, do you mind if I ask you a different question?

    I downloaded a submod which adds numbered legions. I wanted to check when they triggered, so looked at the file and found 2 triggers I've never seen before.

    and Trait FamilyTracker = 2
    and Trait RomanRank > 2

    Your game is installed in the wrong place (it's in Program Files (x86) - you need to move it) and by the looks of it, you've also patched the moddb version, which won't work.

    Follow the download and installation instructions in the main thread in the forum.

    I read a lot of time the istallation instructions on the main thread but I never followed the first step of changing the MTW2 directory. I wanted ot ask you why it is so important to do this and if this changement of directory for MTW2 can be negative or positive for others mod foldered mods.
    thank you in advance.
    We've seen this countless times before, if your game is installed in Program Files or Program Files (x86) UAC and VirtualStore interfere with file changes and prevent them taking. You can't patch, and that's a problem with EBII.

    If you don't want to move your installation, then I'm afraid you're probably best giving up on EBII because it doesn't work properly when located there. We've learned this through bitter experience.

    I imagine that it happened a lot of times. Anyway I changed directory reinstalling MTW2, downloaded the true version of eb2.2b from TWC, installed on the new directory and patched with the 2.2c AI. But I still have some problems
    After a battle between Romans and Cartaginians the game crashed. here the Log file. Thank you again
    eb.system.log.zip
    by the way I changed in the main preference file of MTW2 the size of Troops from normal to huge. And I saw that it changed also the size in EB2. Is that a problem?

    Looking at the long period between last trace and crash, it's probably something memory- or graphics-related.
