The Archbishop of York is shown into the hall where the Pope met with emissaries and other notables who visited his court in the Vatican. With him were various cardinals who sat in consistory with him as members of the theological council, the College of Cardinals, that advised the Holy Father daily. Pope Paul II had entered his fifth year of ruling over Christendom as the Bishop of Rome and God's Vicar on Earth. The Pope extends his hand for O'Neill to kiss his ring.
Archbishop of York, yet another visit I see. I remember when you visited Rome back when Pius II was still alive and with us, God rest his soul. What brings you once more to Rome and to your Holy Father's attention?

Francis bowed before his Holiness, graciously kissing his ring
Greetings Holy Father,
I'm afraid troubling times has brought me here today, the rift between York and Canterbury has only widened since my last visit to Rome. Holy Father something needs to be done, Canterbury is not a true servant of the faith, his first and only priority is to his house and King. He has used his family's ties to shut me out and continuously attempts to discredit and humiliate me with false accusations. Holy Father I have come seeking a remedy to this heinous situation, If you will allow it I would wish that York be split from Canterbury supremacy as done by Pope Calixtus II in 1118

Pope Paul II's face slightly contorts at the request before the Holy Father relaxes his muscles.
Yet, Archbishop O'Neill, have you done what my predecessor asked of you? To be good to the realm of England and to service its people? Have you done everything you can in the interest of the Church?
Before Francis can even speak, the Holy Father raises his hand to swiftly silence him.
You speak of ill words towards Canterbury, yet he willingly gave up accusing you of crimes against the Crown and Country of England. You demand that you split from Canterbury supremacy as if you deserve such power and title, yet I hear nothing but your complaints and excuses in England! Do you take me as some sort of fool, Archbishop?! You say that Canterbury's priority is to his family and King, yet your very actions are only ensuring the rift exists as I hear that you only covet power and advancement for yourself!
The Holy Father points at the Archbishop as his rage continues.
I even hear rumors that you did not even support the King in his hour of need, but left his side for that of a usurper! And you demand that give you a reward for your good services that are non-existent?!
With a swift slash of his hand, the Pope makes his final verdict.
Begone from this holy palace! For it is no place for sycophants and materialists as yourself, Francis! Begone and never return!!
